Hallo zusammen, ich bräuchte mal etwas Aufklärung was Festplatten angeht. Ich habe zwei OS auf einer Platte. Kann entweder Windows 10, oder Ubuntu laufen lassen über boot manager. Hatte soweit auch immer funktioniert. Die Tage mußte ich mal Windows wieder verweneden(so ganz ohne geht halt noch nicht). Hatte Windows aus stanby wieder aufgeweckt und hörte nur noch ein paar Mal ein Zischen. Nix ging mehr unter Windows. Ubuntu läuft noch. Alles gemacht....chkdsk mit was weiß ich wievielen Kombinationen von /F / R etc...bleibt bei der 3. Phase stehen. Dann sudo "badblocks -vsn /dev/sdx" laufen lassen. Hat mir 100 bad blocks angezeigt. Danach Ultimate Boot CD sowohl die WD Software, als auch seatools und auch IBM software durchlaufen lassen. Alle per lange Prüfung. Alle haben keinen Fehler angezeigt. Danach noch smartools. Auch o.k.. Ich weiß nicht, wie ich die Ergebnisse interpretieren soll. Ist die Festplatte hardwareseitig jetzt i.o. und es fehlen nur(aus welchen Gründen auch immer) nur die passenden Iformationen, um wieder vernünftig zu booten, oder soll ich die Platte rausschmeißen? Nachinstallieren sollte nicht das Problem sein, aber was macht es für einen Sinn, wenn das Gleiche innerhalb kürzester Zeit wieder passiert. Oder gibt es eine noch bessere, sicherere Methode um wirklich Klarheit zu bekommen?

Dann lasse mal Laufen sudo fsck -f -p /dev/sda1 und sudo fsck -f -p /dev/sda2 So wie es Aussieht ist das Dateisystem ntfs ja noch Vorhanden und somit lesbar. Die möglichkeit das es von Windows selbst ausgeht steht aber auch noch im Raum 😬

Ja, ich kann definitv noch zugreifen auf Dateien von Ubuntu aus. Nur nicht mehr starten.
Was meinst du mit "Die möglichkeit das es von Windows selbst ausgeht steht aber auch noch im Raum"? fsck von util-linux 2.20.1

Na ja-es ist ein "Eigenständiges" Betriebssytem. Der Bootloader wählt hat nur aus 😉 Wenn der Fehler bei Windows (Bootloder usw.) liegt kann man über Linux nix machen. Dazu müsste denn das passende Windowsforum besucht werden. Folgender Versuch sudo apt-get install testdisk Dann sudo testdisk /dev/sda siehe https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Festplatten_Problembehebung/#Defekte-Partitionstabelle

Habe installiert und laß jetzt mal durchlaufen. Ist klar, wenn es etwas windowsspezifisches ist, dann anderes Forum. Aber im Moment kommt es mir auf den Zustand der HDD an. Beim Windowsbooten kann man wahrscheinlich eh nichts mehr machen als neu drüberbügeln.

Linux kann kein ntfs checken. 100 defekte Sektoren sagt aber alles: Danach noch smartools. Auch o.k..
Glaube ich nicht:
sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends smartmontools
sudo smartctl -t short /dev/sda
# Nun mindestens 3 min warten!
sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda
Ergebnis des letzten Befehls bitte in Codeblock ins Forum kopieren.

Platte ist imho noch i.O. Lesefehler sind in der jüngeren Historie nicht mehr aufgetreten.

Danke für die Info!
Habe es mittlerweile geschafft wieder auf Windows zuzugreifen. War einfacher, als ich dachte. Wens interessiert:
wenn nicht gebootet wird nochmal starten. Dann sollte angezeigt werden, daß eine Diagnose durchgeführt wird. Warten....dann kommt ein Fenster mit mehreren Optionen. Man muß sich soweit durchklicken bis die Möglichkeit kommt Windows in einem anderen Modus zu starten. Wieder "neu starten" drücken. Dann kommt das Fenster mit den Auswahlmöglichkeiten F1-F9. Habe F4/ abgesicherter Modus gewählt. Danach wieder neu starten und es läuft wieder. That s it.

Na zumindest 130 Fehler und paar Lesefehler beim Test gab es schon mal - komischerweise stehen 0 defekte Sektoren in den drei Zeilen der Tabelle. Ich würde der Platte bei anhaltenden Problemen nur bedingt über den Weg trauen.

Dann war der Kauf einer 2. Platte wohl doch nicht so verkehrt 😉. Doppele gerade. Zur Not hätte noch clonezilla geholfen. Dangä nochmal!
