Moin hab ne mal ne kleine frage an alle die mit Kde arbeiten. Was ist Dolphins root problem eigentlich .. ?
so ein tooles program und unter root verliessen sie Ihn *kopfkratz Wenn ich so ne durchdachte Distro raus werfe wäre das doch das erste was ich fixen würde...
Verstehe nicht was da schief läuft. Vielleicht weis da ja jemand was wäre Toll

Hallo! Zum einen weiß ich nicht, wozu man root-Rechte bei Dolphin braucht und zum anderen nicht, was dein genaues Problem dabei ist. Kannst du vielleicht deine Fragestellung etwas verdeutlichen? Wie startest du Dolphin als root?

Finde es generell praktisch wenn ich mal was editieren will was das system beeinflusst Wie startest du Dolphin als root?
Anw.: gsku dolphin - gibt er mir mein home verzeichnis als leeren ordner wieder

Sudo dolphin –→ runtime error usw...
Dachte mir das diese art von fehler eigentlich einen allgemeinen fehler beschreibt deshalb lies ich erstmmal so unspeziefisch.. mh-–> kopfkraz

Nur ein Hinweis: wenn ich einen Dateimanager mit Root-Rechten nutzen will, nehme ich Krusader. Der hat nicht nur einen deutlich grösseren Funktionsumfang sondern auch einen Root-Modus. hth

Mh.. nice ☺ aber zwei programme als dateimanager ...(is nicht sooo schick)
aber danke für den hinweis. Vielleicht gehts auch nicht anders aber komisch ist schon meiner bescheiden meinung nach

Anzeigefehler habe ich keine. Eben getestet. Ausgaben auf der Konsole sind in dem Fall normal, wie die Fehlermeldung mit pixmap. Die Kompaktansicht ist - wie ich feststellen durfte - sogar recht brauchbar. Falls die Fehler nach der Korrektur (siehe weiter unten) noch auftauchen, dann zeige diese bitte hier im Codeblock oder wenn sie grafisch auftauchen auch per Screenshot als Dateianhang.

Hier ist kein Chat, sondern ein Forum. Daher würde ich es begrüßen, wenn du dich um eine lesbare Schreibweise und vollständige Sätze bemühen würdest. Groß- und Kleinschreibung zu beachten wird hier ebenfalls nicht mit Sanktionen geahndet ☺ Ebenso ist es wichtig viele Details bei den Fehlern anzugeben, da von uns keiner vor deinem Bildschirm sitzt und somit niemand nachvollziehen kann, was dein eigentliches Problem ist.

Okay okay, ich weich auf die Konsole aus ..
Wäre bloß für mich eine bequeme Methode gewesen.
(als Anfänger der Shell auch mal ausweichen zu können.)

Es geht nicht darum, dass du auf die Konsole ausweichen sollst. Es geht darum, dass du grafische Programme nicht mit sudo starten sollst! Dafür gibt es ja kdesudo . Du läufst sonst ständig Gefahr dein Homeverzeichnis unbrauchbar zu machen und dann per Live-USB wieder alles retten zu müssen, wenn ein Login nicht mehr möglich ist. Daher bitte mal auf das oben verlinkte klicken und lesen ☺ Danach starte mal dolphin mittels kdesudo dolphin , ignoriere die pixmap-Fehler in der Konsole und prüfe ob das Programm als solches läuft. btw: Du kannst in Dolphin auch jederzeit F4 drücken und dir ein Terminal an Ort und Stelle öffnen lassen. Da kann man oft beide Welten gut verbinden.

Dolphin ist kein Editor. Sprich deine Herangehensweise ist irgendwo kaputt. Nutze root Rechte für die Aktionen, die sie benötigen und nicht generell. PhilTheKamel123 schrieb: Okay mach ich ☺ . Danke

hallo, die einfachste Lösung ist doch einen Programm-Starter für Dolphin anzulegen, in den Eigenschaften "Als anderer Benutzer ausführen" anhaken, und "gut is". Beim Start wird das sudoer-Passwort abgefragt, Dolphin startet auf "/" und es gibt keine Probleme mit dem home-Verzeichnis. Bei aller Liebe zur Konsole, man muß die Dinge nicht unnötig verkomplizieren. gruß archy

Du kannst auch das "Root Service Action Menu" einbinden, dann kannst du unter Dolphin und Krussader mittels rechter Maus Taste allerhand aktionen machen die Root erforern würden
Du brauchst auch dafür dolphin nicht mittels "kdesudo" als "Root" starten, einfach normal als "User" und dann Rechte Maus Taste im Menü "Administrator Aktionen"
da kannst du als Root eine Datei mittels "Kate" öffnen oder kopieren/löschen Verscheiben Rechte einer Datei/Ordner Ändern usw...
Das Passwort für "Root" wird vor Ausführung der jeweiligen Funktion mittels "kdesudo" bequem abgefragt. Hab nur leider keine Ahnung ob das Programm noch unter der KDE 5 Version funktioniert, es wurde für die 4er entwickelt. https://store.kde.org/content/show.php/Root+Actions+Servicemenu?content=48411
