1. Wie ist das Netzwerk aufgebaut?
Er hat ein D-Link DIR-615 WPS-Modem und ein Motorola SBV5121e (kabeld.)
Ich teste hier an einer alten FritzBox (FB) 7141 (1&1).
Der Läppi hatte zuvor XP-Home drauf und ging zumindest hier problemlos per WLAN ins Netz.
2. Welche Systemversion wird verwendet, welche Hardware ist verbaut und wurde die Netzwerkkarte überhaupt erkannt? Ist der Chipsatz der Netzwerk-Hardware bekannt?

2x. Wird das Netzwerkgerät von anderen Geräten? erkannt? ...
bei eingeschaltetem WLAN an FB & Läppi wird im FritzBox-Monitor kein neues Gerät angezeigt (mein Smartphone wird dagegen angezeigt - neue Geräte zulassen aktiv)
Wenn ich am Läppi die WLAN-Taste aktiviere, zeigt sich, wie gesagt, das Bluetooth-Ikon oben re in Xubuntu. Auf dem Smartphone wird jedoch kein Bluetooth-Gerät angezeigt - also der Läppi hat Bluetooth wohl nicht wirklich an?
