Ich kämpfe gerade mit 2 meiner PCs, die nicht so richtig wollen. Auf meinem Mini PC habe ich plötzlich sehr merkwürdeige Fehler, die sporadisch wechseln und die ich nicht richtig zuordnen kann. Xubuntu 6.06 will jetzt gar nicht mehr (nur eingeschränkter recovery Modus) und Ubuntu 7.04 scheint heute zu laufen, obwohl eine Bootmeldung sagt das DMA disabled wurde. Ein Backup der jeweiligen /home Partitionen ging aber (hat gestern aber 9h gedauert). Heute ging das deutlich schneller.
Memtest bringt keinerlei Befund. Als Fehlerquelle bleibt jetzt eigentlich nur noch die Festplatte. Deshalb hier mal die Ausgabe von smartctl

Inwieweit diese Angaben aussagekräftig sind, kann ich nicht sagen. Wenn man sich die Betriebsdauer ansieht, kommen da doch Zweifel auf. Die Platte ist ca. 18 Monate alt! Es ist eine Samsung Notbookplatte, die auf keine der vorgeschlagenen Änderungen zum Powermanagement reagiert.
Ich arbeite jetzt schon den ganzen Nachmittag mit diesem PC, allerdings bekomme ich nur Feisty zum laufen, Dapper geht nur eingeschränkt im Recovery Modus. Ich kann da auch nichts ändern, da die Platte dort immer ro ist. Beim Einlogversuch in Dapper bekomme ich immer "authenication failure" und diverse andere Probleme. Beim Einlogversuch in der Konsole kommt immer "login incorrect" bevor das Passwort eingegeben werden kann.
Für mich stellt sich jetzt die Frage, ob die Festplatte akkut verdächtig ist oder ob es nur das Dateisystem zerschossen hat (Backup habe ich nur von den /home Partitionen gemacht. / ist ungetestet). Also, soll ich jetzt auf der vorhandenen Hardware neu installieren oder lieber auf einer neuen Festplatte.
