Das Firmware-Update für Dell Precision 3540 scheitert, sowohl über 'Ubuntu Software' als auch mit fwupd auf der Kommandozeile.
Dabei gibt es keinerlei Fehlermeldungen. Das Update scheint durchgeführt zu werden, fwupd gibt sogar eine Erfolgsmeldung und fordert Reboot, aber die installierte Firmware bleibt die alte (auch nach Reboot). 'Ubuntu Software' listet die neue Firmware dann auch weiterhin als eine, die durchgeführt werden sollte.
Hat jemand Ideen zur Fehlersuche?
Ubuntu 20.04 auf Dell Precision 3540, gekauft mit Ubuntu 18.04 pre-installed, inzwischen handelt es sich aber nach Upgrades nicht mehr um die vorinstallierte Version.
