Nabend, ich verwende zwei Monitore via TwinView. Maximiere ich Fenster auf dem ersten Display, werden sie auf den kompletten Bildschirm maximiert und von den Panels (2*fbpanel, über beide Monitore gestreckt) verdeckt. Auf dem zweiten Monitor werden die Fenster so maximiert, dass sie von den Panels nicht verdeckt werden. In der fluxbox-init ist dabei nur "session.screen0.fullMaximization: false" eingetragen, und das scheint ausschließlich den zweiten Monitor zu steuern. Die Zeile in "session.*.fullMaximization: false" zu ändern oder das Ergänzen von "session.screen1.fullMaximization: false" haben nichts gebracht. Woran kann es noch liegen?

Hmm, screen1 ist eher der von mehreren X Sessions, oder allenfalls noch bei Xinerama. In der Regel sind mehrere Displays eher so etwas wie 0.1, 0.2, etc. Dürfte ich mal die Ausgabe von xrandr , nvidia-settings -q all (TwinView klingt für mich nach nvidia) und Deine ~/.fluxbox/init sowie die Ausgabe von fluxbox -i haben? Fuchs

Hmm, ich habe nun versucht das ganze zu reproduzieren.
(Allerdings mit fluxbox aus dem git und nvidia 180.51) Es kann sein, dass Deine etwas ältere nvidia Treiberversion nicht diesen netten Bug drin hat mit TwinView. Weil prinzipiell maximiert bei mir fluxbox allgemein nur über einen Monitor, wenn ich TwinView verwende.
(Was eigentlich auch bei RightOf / LeftOf die normale Konfiguration ist). Könntest Du mal folgendes probieren: - TwinView Zeilen in der Xorg.conf auskommentieren
- X neu starten
- via nvidia-settings Twinview frisch konfigurieren Wenn das Problem in der Konfiguration nicht auftritt, könntest Du einen nvidia Treiber der 180er Serie (180.44 als stable, oder 180.51 als pre-release) mal ausprobieren. Fuchs

Wenn ich mich Recht entsinne gabs bei Fluxbox von 1.0 zur 1.1 einige Änderung an dem mehr Monitor betrieb, ich glaub das einfachste wäre die neuste Fluxbox Version zu installieren, kommt mit Jaunty. Also Entwender selbst Backporten oder upgraden. gruß Adrian

Erm, das tut er bei mir auch. Nur maximiert er auf dem ersten Monitor immer über die Panel hinweg (so, als wenn fullMaximization auf true gesetzt wäre). Auf dem zweiten Monitor hält er sich brav an die fullMaximization-Einstellungen der init.

Uhm fuchs@thinkfox ~ % grep toolbar.max .fluxbox/init session.screen0.toolbar.maxOver: false probier das mal. Dazu: · Maximize Over: Enabling this option will prevent windows from maximizing over the
toolbar. With this switched on they will only expand to the edge of the bar. To use this
option, "Full Maximization" from the Configuration menu must be DISABLED. Otherwise this
option will not work.

Ist bereits die Default-Einstellung... Die Fluxbox-Toolbar ist nebenbei ausgeblendet, das sollte also gar nichts ändern. Ich bleib wohl einfach für erste bei Openbox, mal schauen obs unter Jaunty besser funktioniert...
