Sehr geehrte Linux-Fachleute, ich benötige Unterstützung bei der Aktivierung meines Funknetzwerkes.
Seit 2 Tagen komme ich nicht mehr mit meinem „ASUS VivoBook“ über das Funknetzwerk ins Netz. Alle anderen PCs, Handys usw. kommen ins Netz, sowohl über Funk als auch über Kabel.
Der ASUS ist als Dualboot-PC mit Windows 10 und Ubuntu Mate 18.04.4 LTS, 64bit, ausgerüstet.
Eine bewuste Handlung habe ich in den letzten beiden Tagen nicht unternommen, somit bin ich über diesen „Fehler“ erstaunt. Vielleicht kann mir jemand freundlicher Weise eine Hilfestellung anbieten.
Bitte bedenke Sie bei der Antwort, ich bin Linux-Laie. Mit Unterstützung von div. Foren habe ich nachfolgende Informationen dem System entlocken können, vieleicht ist die Info hilfreich.

Beim Neustart die "Entf"-Taste drücken oder was auch immer angezeigt wird, um ins BIOS zu kommen. Dort mal "umsehen", ob WLAN dort permanent aktiviert ist oder aktivierbar ist P.S.: Gibts ein Handbuch? Da sollte es drin stehen.

Die WLAN-Hardware wird vom Linux-Kernel nicht richtig erkannt. So etwas kann auch durch Windows verursacht werden, wenn dieses nicht ordnungsgemäß vollständig beendet wurde. Funktioniert das WLAN unter Windows? Fahre bitte Windows vollständig herunter: Keine offenen Dateien, Schnellstart/Fastboot in Windows ausschalten, kein Schlafzustand/Hibernate/Suspend, kein Beenden durch Schließen des Deckels, sondern in Windows „vollständig herunterfahren“ wählen. In der rechnereigenen Firmware (oft Bios oder UEFI genannt) ebenfalls den Schnellstart/Fastboot deaktivieren.
Starte dann Linux und zeige wieder zur Diagnose (hier im Forum als Codeblock formatiert): sudo lspci -nnk
sudo lshw -c network

Danke für eure hilfreichen Hinweise, bevor ich euch die geforderten Systemdaten schicke, benötige ich Hilfestellung bei der richtigen Formatierung.
Als Linux-Laie ist mir die "Erzeugung der Code-Formatierung" nicht bekannt.

Lade folgende Datei herunter und installiere durch Doppelklicken http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/l/linux-firmware/linux-firmware_1.189_all.deb Rechner neu starten und prüfen:
lspci -nnk
iwconfig
dmesg | grep rtw88

bei der Installation kommt die Meldung "Fehler: nicht länger erhältlich linux-firmware"
die Aktuallisierung geht nicht, da, wie bekannt, es keine Netzverbindung gibt
