Hallo liebe Ubuntu Freunde.

Ich würde gerne mein GPS der "Ericsson MBM F3705g" Karte, auch als Dell Wireless 5530 bekannt, zum laufen bekommen. Der Anleitung im Wiki gpsd folgend bin ich davon ausgegangen, dass sich der GPS Teil unter /dev/ttyACM0 oder /dev/ttyACM1 ansprechen lässt. Ich kann die Ausgabe nicht wirklich deuten, da im Wiki ein Beispiel für eine positive fehlt.

Zum überprüfen soll man xgps starten. Dieses lierfert mir jedoch keinerlei Ausgaben. ☹ Weder während ich gpsd in Debugform starte noch als Daemon.

Vlt hat jemand ein wenig Erfahrung bei GPS unter Linux und kann mir da weiter helfen.

Danke für deinen Link. Ich habe mir den Thread durchgelesen. So wie ich das verstanden habe behandelt dieser den UMTS Teil der Erricson, welcher bei mir 1A funktioniert. Ich möchte jedoch auf die GPS-Daten zugreifen. Die Ausgaben deiner Befehle.

Leider funktioniert das GPS noch immer nicht richtig.

Es sind zwar Navigationsdaten am Gerät

ersichtlich. Setze ich jedoch den gpsd im Debug Modus auf dieses Gerät erhalte ich:

Ich fasse das ganze bei Gelegenheit mal zusammmen. Damit nicht jeder diesen schweren Weg gehen muss... Ganz kurz, man braucht:

1. gpds 
--> installieren
--> Einrichten: uu-wiki

2. mbm-gpsd EDIT2 und mbm-gps-control
--> Installieren: ppa bei launchpad EDIT Neues PPA: https://launchpad.net/~torgny-johansson/+archive/ppa
--> Einrichten: (siehe link oben)

3. den richigen Pfad zum gerät :)
--> gpsd /dev/ttyACM2 EDIT2 Durch neues ppa wird nun doch /dev/gps0 verwendet

4. Überprüfen ob Positionsdaten einplätschern
--> cat /dev/gps0

5. Kontollieren ob alles funktioniert
--> xgps starten
--> Abwarten und Teetrinken (das dauert ne Weile)
EDIT2

6. GPS Auslesen beschleunigen
--> mbm-gps-control starten und Abtastrate verringern.
--> So fällt aber das Teetrinken weg ;(
