Ich habe folgendes Problem auf Ubuntu 20.04: Ich kann mich per telnet auf Port 587 Authentifizierung, was passiert ist folgendes:

Wo könnte das Problem liegen? Die Firewall auf Port 587 ist offen.

Es liegt ja auch nicht an der Firewall, denn der lauschende Port antwortet ja auch:

:~ #nc -zv d7f49a9.online-server.cloud 587
Connection to d7f49a9.online-server.cloud (217.160.194.196) 587 port [tcp/submission] succeeded!

Es liegt an deiner Konfiguration. Für den Port 587 wird etwas anderes benötigt, als für den Port 25.

Ja, das könnte auch sein. Versuch mal mit sendemail in der Kommandozeile (d. h. Einzeiler und ohne config-Datei).

sudo apt-get install sendemail
sudo dpkg --configure -a

Das ist richtig, denn ich habe ja auch sendemail und nicht sendmail geschrieben bzw. empfohlen.
