ich benutze ein Lenovo Thinkpad T61. Darin ist ein Simkarten-Halter eingebaut. Wie kann ich prüfen, ob dieser UMTS Zugriff aktiv oder eingeschaltet ist?

Nur als Hinweis: Die integrierten Modems werden mindestens bei Thinkpads erst dann erkannt, wenn eine Simkarte eingelegt ist. Selbst das häufig integrierte GPS kann man nur nutzen, wenn man wenigstens eine alte Prepaid-Sim von 1998 ohne Guthaben aus der Schublade einlegt. |

Hat sich geklärt. Der Schiebeschalter stellt nicht nur Wlan ab, sondern auch Wwan. Jetzt kann ich unter lsusb die Sierra Karte sehen. |
