Hallo, ich habe eine Frage bezüglich der Druck/Scanner Installation des Canon Pixma MP640. Dieser ist über das Wlan mit dem Router verbunden. Den Drucker konnte ich mit dem LDP-Protokoll über CUPS zugänglich machen. Dazu habe ich den Drucker über die IP gesucht und die Treiber über die List ausgewählt. Jetzt wird das Modell als "Canon PIXMA MP640 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.12" und die Geräteadresse als "lpd://"IP-ADressse"/PASSTHRU angegeben. Wobei ich mich frage, ob das die übliche Methode ist. Das Problem ist jedoch die Scannerfunktion zu aktivieren. Laut Sane-Homepage wird der Scanner unterstützt jedoch wird beim öffnen von xsane immer folgende Fehlermeldung angezeigt.
Fehler beim Öffnen des Gerätes 'pixma:MP640_xxx.xxx.x.xxx':Ungültiges Argument
Ich weis, es gibt für die Canon-Geräte extra die ScanGear MP Ver. 1.40 for Linux auf dieser Homepage (http://search-asia.canon-asia.com/canon__asia_en__asia_p_en/search.x?q=&ie=utf8&cat=0&ct=Support&pagemax=10&imgsize=1&pdf=ok&zoom=1&hf=category%09zubaken&cf=model_sm%3APIXMA+MP648&modelName=PIXMA+MP648&ref=support-asia.canon-asia.com&pid=ISS7XTLJM92-CIM3oTu6Lw..&qid=HKaNm0VRyASVhPiWWk6LdEXm9Eg3J02D&d=DOWNLOADS%09Linux), aber mit diesen gab es immer Probleme im Zusammenhang mit GIMP. Durch die Installation der Canon-Treiber wurde Gimp inkl. (X)sane gelöscht. Kennt jemand einen Weg den Scanner über Sane zum Laufen zu bringen??

Helfe dir 😬 http://www.sane-project.org/man/sane-pixma.5.html dann geht es los sudo apt-get install git dann der hier git clone git://git.debian.org/sane/sane-backends.git Das ganze liegt dann in deinem Home Ordner.Bei weiteren Fragen-frag 😉

Ok, vielen Dank. Bedeutet das, dass ich mir den Sane-Treiber nach SANE/Kompilieren (Abschnitt „Installation“) selbst kompilieren muss? Der Backend ist demnach sane-pixma.5 ?

Hast du schon mal selbst Kompiliert? Gehen die Schritte sonst durch.

In deinem Fall meinst du wohl beim Upgrade von Ubuntu 17.04 auf die nächste Version? Dann nicht,bei einer Neuinstallation schon.

Das Eintragen der Netzwerkadresse nach Scanner/Canon (Abschnitt „Scannen-ueber-Netzwerk“) hatte ich schon bei 16.04 versucht und es bringt leider auch jetzt nichts. Auf die Idee eine Scanserver einzurichten bin ich noch nicht gekommen. Ob das für einen einfachen Betrieb nötig bzw. möglich ist? Wie auch immer. Ich bin mal nach der Anleitung SANE-Scanserver im Netzwerk vorgegangen und habe den Netzwerkzugriff freigegeben und die IP in /etc/sane.d/saned.conf eingtragen. Wobei:
sudo service saned restart
Failed to restart saned.service: Unit saned.service is masked.

Ok.folgendes mal Ausführen sudo systemctl enable saned.socket Ausgabe zeigen von sudo systemctl status saned@*.service und cat /etc/default/saned und id sowie die Ausgabe von scanimage >~/Test.tiff Datei Test.tiff sollte dann im Home Ordner landen.

Hi, das ist doch dann die Vorgehensweise für 16.04? Soll ich hierbei auch die IP in die /etc/sane.d/pixma.conf eintragen und in /etc/default/saned
RUN=yes setzten. Das läuft doch über /lib/systemd/system, saned.socket und saned@service.
Hier jedenfalls mal die Ausgaben: sudo systemctl enable saned.socket
sudo systemctl status saned@*.service
cat /etc/default/saned
# Defaults for the saned initscript, from sane-utils
# To enable under systemd please read README.Debian
# Set to yes to start saned under SysV
RUN=no
# Set to the user saned should run as
RUN_AS_USER=saned
scanimage >~/Test.tiff
