Mein mysql server startet einfach nicht mehr. Vorher habe ich ihn mit MySQL Workbench am Laufen gehabt. Ich habe ihn darauf hin komplett neu installiert und wollte mich wie beschrieben als root anmelden, aber nichts geht.

Suche im Internet erbrachte keine Lösung. Die Firewall hat Port 3306 offen.

Was nun ?

Schau mal im syslog/journald nach, ggf. gibt es da weitere Infos.

In /var/log/syslog steht noch:

Über das mysql-workbench kann ich auch nicht starten. Es wäre schon gut, wenn ich es per Konsole könnte.

Ein sudo journalctl -xeu mysql.service | less zeigt mir am Dateiende dies:

Vorher wiederholen sich ähnliche Meldungen mehrfach. Ich kann damit nichts anfangen.

Einlogen mit mysql -uroot -pgeheim ergibt:

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

Es ist keine solche Datei da, denn der Server ist nicht gestartet.

Bitte purge mal alles von mysql (vorher eine Sicherung der DBs anlegen!).

sudo systemctl start mysql.service

Muss ich etwas konfigurieren oder zusätzlich installieren ?

sudo journalctl -xeu mysql.service

Ich hatte schon daraus zitiert. Ich sende mal die gesamte Datei. (Ich verabschiede mich bis morgen.)

Gibt das Aufschluss über die Ursache ?
