Du hast Hardware Acceleration im VLC eingeschaltet und Dein Video enthält anscheinend ein HEVC Profil das vdpau nicht verarbeiten kann. Also entweder die Hardware Beschleunigung im VLC abschalten oder für Deine Videos ein Profil wählen das vdpau kann.

Ich komme erst am Abend zu diesem PC. Meinst du Werkzeuge / Einstellungen / Hardware accelerated decoding? Es ist auf einem anderen PC automatisch eingestellt (default?) und vermutlich hat das der PC auch beim das Video nicht abgespielt werden kann, also das deaktivieren?

Hmmh, ich kann jetzt ohne Hardware decoding den Stream mit vlc abspielen. Ich bin nun am Untersuchen, ob der kaputte Stream ein DVB-T2-Problem ist, dh ich werde einen anderen Film mit DVB-S2 vergleichen. Es geht da noch eine Reihe von Ungereimtheiten, die aber nicht in dieses Forum passen. Hardware decoding deaktviert, also nicht automatisch:

T2 hat h265 als Codec, S2 hat h264 und T2 sendet wohl in FHD während S2 mit 1280x720 kommt. Ich habe eine AMD Grafik und nutze vaapi zur Hardware Beschleunigung. Eine ts (pass) Aufnahme per TVHeadend bei mir funktioniert problemlos in allen Playern mit Hardware Beschleunigung. Keine Ahnung ob das mit T2 und h265 auch so wäre. Filme mit h265 funktionieren zumindest mit Hardware Beschleunigung. Die komischen Fehlermeldungen von VLC beachte ich gar nicht mehr. Sieht bei mir auch so aus: ~$ vlc '/home/ralf/Downloads/Tagesschau-Nachrichten.ts'

Nach einer simplen Wandlung mit mkvmerge wird das Video mit Hardware Decoding automatisch problemlos abgespielt. Die Fehlermeldungen sind weg.
Trotzdem scheint das von Deinem Enigma genutzte Profil nicht da rein zu passen. Kannst Du da auch, wie unter TVHeadend, eigene Profile anlegen?
Gute Frage, eher nicht, muss ich aber mal recherchieren.

Danke für den Hinweis, muss ich mal im Detail recherchieren. Was mir auffiel, dass ich bei T2 Auflösungen von 720p und 1080p hatte. Bei S2 ist 1080p eher die Ausnahme, zB ServusTV. Ich bin von S2 gewohnt, dass die Auflösung meist 720p ist. AUgenblicklich versuche ich herauszufinden, warum mit Handbrake gerechnete Videos bei sonst gleichen Einstellungen eine viel kleinere Bitrate haben. Eine Bitrate von über 1000 ist fast nicht zu schaffen. Bei einer DVD schaffe ich spielend über 2000.

Ob die Aufnahme exakt gleich ist, aber von der Zeit dürfte es so ziemlich passen. Ich kann nicht sagen, ob die Sat-Box mit dem Timer zur gleichen Zeit angefangen hat, wie die DBB-T2-Box.

Ich habe nun 2 verschiedene Sender(masten) verglichen, die beide 3Sat ausstrahlen. Bei dem einen funktioniert die automatische Hardware-Decodierung, bei dem anderen nicht. Bei mir funktioniert jede Kombination für HEVC. Egal ob die Hardware.Beschleunigung auf Automatisch, Va-api oder vdpau steht. Zumindest mit diesem 4k Beispiel Video: $ mediainfo Sony-Whale-in-Tonga-HDR-UHD.mp4

Das ist aber ganz was anderes und wenn ich ts zu mkv konvertiere sind wie geschrieben die Probleme auch weg. Eigentlich sind es ja Probleme, die gelöst werden können.
Sind alle libs zu 265 bei Dir installiert? x265, libde265-0, libx265-179
Was spielen libs bei Hardware-Dekodierung durch die Grafikkarte für eine Rolle? dpkg -l | grep 265
ii libde265-0:amd64 1.0.4-1build1 amd64 Open H.265 video codec implementation
ii libx265-179:amd64 3.2.1-1build1 amd64 H.265/HEVC video stream encoder (shared library) x265 ist also nicht installiert. Brauche ich das zwingend? Mit x265 installiert kann ich die HEVC-ts-Datei auch nicht abspielen.

Es ist schon länger her das ich mein System eingerichtet habe. Da war es noch 16.04. Aber ich bin ziemlich sicher das ich HEVC erst abspielen konnte nachdem ich x265 installiert hatte. Die Hardware Beschleunigung von GraKas funktioniert ja auch nur in Verbindung mit entsprechenden Treibern. Aber ich bin weit davon entfernt das ganze Zusammenspiel zwischen Hardware und Software bei der Hardware Beschleunigung zu verstehen.

Ich auch und via Sat gibt es überhaupt keine Probleme (mehr). Früher half das Konvertierung mit mkvmerge, aber mittlerweile umschifft Handbrake die Probleme sehr gut. Manche Sender kann ich in 3 Varianten empfangen, Sat, DVB-T2 von dt. Sendermasten, DVB-T2 von österr. Sendermasten. Unterschied ist dann die Auflösung, die Kodierung und die Bitrate. Somit ergibt sich die Frage, was hat die beste Qualität im Idealfall. Ich gehe davon aus, dass oft sowieso nur hochskaliert ist. Aber wenn es einen Film als BD gibt, dann könnte auch die BD gesendet werden, also dann DVB-T2 aus D die beste Qualität mit 1080p HEVC liefern. Wenn ich die "kaputte" ts-Datei in handbrake lade, dann wird da ziemlich lang analysiert, aber letztlich erstellt dann Handbrake aus der ts-Datei eine problemlose mkv-Datei in HEVC. libx265 ist ein Encoder für HEVC mit x265 als Frontend für Kommandozeile. Mit Dekodierung von HEVC hat er rein gar nichts zu tun, die bewerkstelligt libavcodec aus FFmpeg, die optional das Umrechnen von komprimierten Macroblocks (Coding Units) zurück in Pixel über eine Hardware-Schnittstelle (VA-API, VDPAU, NVDEC, CUVID und einige andere) abwickeln kann statt die aufwendigen Berechnungen allein der CPU aufzubürden. Statt HEVC-Dekodierung mit VLC über VDPAU zu versuchen, würde ich mpv ausprobieren, am besten mit FFmpeg 4.3.1 wie in Groovy, natürlich. NVDIA hat VDPAU schon seit geraumer Zeit als Deprecated eingestuft, mpv nutzt standardmäßig NVDEC, vielleicht läuft es damit.

Übersetzt bedeutet es, dass der Dekoder protestiert, dass man ihm den Slice Header zum Dekodieren vorgesetzt hat noch bevor ein Picture Parameter Set an ihm vorbeigeflutscht wäre. edit: Die Meldungen sind dem Umstand geschuldet, dass libavcodec den HEVC-Stream vorzeitig zu dekodieren versucht, noch bevor alle dazu notwendigen Informationen aus VPS, PPS und SPS beisammen sind. Sie bedeuten nicht, dass irgendwas mit dem Stream nicht in Ordnung ist.
