Ich vermute, dass vor dem Login in XFCE schon was schiefläuft, sodass dann das nm-applet im Autostart von XFCE nicht geladen wird. Wie analysiere ich das am besten?

Ich bin jetzt soweit, dass auch nach 10x Neustarten keine Internetverbindung mit dem Networkmanager kam. Gestern hatte es noch funktioniert, auch mit dem gestern installierten Nvidia-Treiber. Befehl kann ich gerade nicht ausführen. Bin unter Trusty, habe auf der HD 16.04 und 14.04 Ich denke, ich werde schauen, ob ich mit einer manuellen Konfiguration weiterkomme. Ich vermute mein Problem liegt schon beim Hochfahren und nicht erst bei XFCE. |

Hallo Glaskugel, Ich habe das applet auch vermisst auf einem Compute, der inzwischen nicht mehr in Betrieb ist. Bei mir hat das simple hinzufügen des nm-applet in den Autostart geholfen. MfG, Daniel |

In den Autostart hatte ich es sowieso gegeben. Ich konnte es auch nicht von der Konsole starten. Es scheint wieder zu funktionieren. Vgl. https://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/2-netzwerkkarten/ Das iscsi habe ich bis jetzt nur überflogen. Vielleicht ist mein Problem, dass ich 2 NICs habe. Ich bin mir auch nicht sicher, ob die mittlerweile anderes zugeordnet sind und das das Problem war, jedenfalls ist da was mysteriös. |

Hallo, ich habe auch das Problem mit dem öfters nicht startenden nm-Panel seit ich vor einiger Zeit Xubuntu auf meinem PC installiert habe. Das gleiche Problem besteht auch bei der Installation von Xubuntu auf einem Netbook. Manchmal muss ich 3x das Betriebssystem starten bis das nm-Panel nach dem Start sichtbar wird. Wenn es nicht sichtbar ist dann besteht bei mir auch keine Internetverbindung. Ich denke das dies ein Bug im Betriebssystem ist. Das nm-Applet ist unter Sitzung u. Startverhalten/Automatisch gestartete Anwendungen/Netzwerk (Verwaltung der Netzwerkverbindung) mit einem Häckchen dort eingetragen. Wenn man mit dem Mauszeiger über diesen Reiter dort fährt dann wird nm-applet angezeigt. Allerdings ist in der Datei ~/.config/autostart/ das nm-applet nicht vorhanden. Im Verzeichnis /etc/xdg/autostart/ ist das nm-applet vorhanden. Muss ich die Datei von /etc/xdg/autostart/ evtl. nach ~/.config/autostart/ reinkopieren damit das Programm nach jedem Start (!) reibungslos arbeitet? Kann erst wieder abends online sein. |

Lässt sich hier vielleicht was entdecken grep -i nm /var/log/syslog oder grep -i nm /var/log/kern.log Interessant ist auch noch die Ausgabe von systemctl status NetworkManager wenn das nm-applet nicht erscheint und auch keine Internetverbindung besteht,sowie wenn sie besteht. |

Könnte ein Konflikt zwischen dnsmasq und resolved sein.Zeige mal bitte wenn alles läuft systemctl status systemd-resolved.service
systemctl status systemd-networkd.service
systemctl status systemd-networkd-wait-online.service
cat /etc/systemd/resolved.conf Wenn das nm-applet nicht gestartet ist Funktioniert das Internet/Netzwerk? Bitte mal testen. |

Hallo Kellerkind_2009, sorry bin erst jetzt von der Arbeit zurück. Wie ich schon in meiner ersten Ausführung schrieb funktioniert eben nicht das Internet wenn das nm-aplett sprich der entgegengesetzte Doppelpfeil nicht erscheint. Beim nächsten fehlerhaften Start vom Network Manager werde ich mal im Terminal versuchen via dem Befehl "nm-applet" zu starten versuchen.
