Die Installationsanleitung von Novell sieht dabei wie folgt aus:

System Requirements

The OpenOffice.org OpenXML Translator requires the following versions of OpenOffice.org:

• OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 or later Novell edition for Windows
  

  • OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 or later for SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 and openSUSE 10.1
    

    • OpenOffice_org-2.0 package for SUSE Linux 9.3 and 10.0
      

      • OpenOffice_org-2.0.4 package for openSUSE 10.2

    Linux

1. Save the downloaded odf-converter-1.0.0-5.i586.rpm file to disk.
   2. In a terminal, type "su" to become the root user, then enter the root password.
   3. Change to the directory containing the saved rpm, then run the following:

rpm -Uvh odf-converter-1.0.0-5.i586.rpm

4. Restart OpenOffice.org if it is running.

Windows

1. Save the downloaded odfconverter-1.0.0-2.oxt file to disk.
   2. In OpenOffice.org, click Tools > Package Manager, then click Add.
   3. Browse to the location of the odfconverter-1.0.0-2.oxt file, then select the file.
   4. Click Open.

Note: Files with a .oxt extension are currently referenced as "UNO Package Bundles" in OpenOffice.org, although not all .oxt files are UNO files.

5. Restart OpenOffice.org.

Hi,

gestern ausprobiert:

Es reicht auch unter Linux, die .oxt-Datei runterzuladen und danach in OOo unter Extras → Extension Manager den Filter hinzuzufügen
- quasi so, wie es Novell als Windows-Anleitung beschrieben hat.

Man kann sich das Runterladen und Umwandeln des rpm-Paketes also sparen.

Bei mir hat das nicht funktioniert: Wie auch? Die oxt Datei enthält lauter Windows .dll Dateien... Auch Windows .exe Dateien sind enthalten...

Das kann unter Linux gar nicht funktionieren.

Oder wie kannst du bitte ein OpenDocument in das Office Open XML Format konvertieren?

...ich nehme alles zurück und behaupte das Gegenteil.

Ich habe mich wohl blenden lassen, weil sich die oxt-Datei problemlos als Extension installieren liess und anschließend im 'Speichern unter'-Dialog die Auswahl 'Microsoft Office 2007' erschien.

Aber Du hast recht: Das Abspeichern im Office OpenXML-Format klappt so nicht, es gibt nur 'ne Fehlermeldung

Laut Heise soll der Konverter nur in der Novell Edition von OOo funktionieren. Sun arbeitet angeblich an eigenen Filtern. Wann und in welcher OOo Version diese erscheinen sollen ist unklar.

Standard aller Microsoft.

Bei mir läuft er auf Debian testing. Hinweise:

rpm herunterladen und mit alien in ein tgz verwandeln
tgz auspacken
cp usr/lib/ooo-2.0/program/OdfConverter /usr/lib/openoffice/program/
cp usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Filter/MOOXFilter_cpp.xcu /usr/lib/openoffice/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Filter/
cp usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Types/MOOXTypeDetection.xcu /usr/lib/openoffice/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Types/

Ein erster Test war erfolgreich.

P.S. Wenn das Open Source ist, wo sind dann bei Novell die Quellen zu finden?

As you may have guessed, I don't speak German.

I found the above post while looking for instructions on installing the ODF converter in Debian - thanks to totty for putting his post up.

I also use Debian-testing.

Get the files from: http://download.novell.com/SummaryFree.jsp?buildid=ESrjfdE4U58~

get BOTH files, download them to anywhere convenient. You should be able to copy and paste each instruction directly into your console window.

So... as root (when the tarball is untarred, you'll need root access to get the files into /usr) -

alien --to-tgz --scripts odf-converter-1.0.0-5.i586.rpm

tar -xzvf odf-converter-1.0.0.tgz

don't bother cding to the directory the tarball expands to; there isn't one. The files are all over the disk. Note in below that I put a leading / before usr/ in each directory cp is applied to

cp /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/program/OdfConverter /usr/lib/openoffice/program/

cp /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Filter/MOOXFilter_cpp.xcu /usr/lib/openoffice/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Filter/

cp /usr/lib/ooo-2.0/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Types/MOOXTypeDetection.xcu /usr/lib/openoffice/share/registry/modules/org/openoffice/TypeDetection/Types/

Worked for me, but takes a long time to run... I'd guess about 10 minutes or more on a 201 page .DOCX test document I found.

das funktioniert soweit ganz gut (Getestet auf Ubuntu 7.04 mit OpenOffice 2.2)
Jetzt habe ich aber noch eine Frage:

Wie kann ich diese docx Files Open Office zuweisen?

Ich muss jetzt immer: rechte Maustaste –> Open with Ooffice .....

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit diese mit einem Doppelklick mit Open Office zu öffnen?

Rechtsklick auf die Datei. Den Punkt "Eigenschaften" auswählen. In dem neuen Menü "Öffnen mit" wählen und hier OpenOffice.org Textverarbeitung auswählen.

Sollte OpenOffice.org nicht auswählbar sein, auf "+Hinzufügen" klicken und hier OpenOffice.org Textverarbeitung wählen.

Menü schließen.

Ok Danke,

das Problem ist dann aber, dass "echte" Zip-Files auch Open-Office zugewiesen sind.
Grundsätzlich sollte nur wirklich ".docx" Files Open-Office zugewiesen werden.

Gibt es da unter Linux eine Lösung?

Prinzipiell sind docx Dokumente mit dem zip Algorithmus zusammen gepackt. Das kannst du daran erkennen, dass Ubuntu "denkt" es handele sich um das selbe Format.

Ich denke, dass es vor der nächsten Ubuntu Version keine Lösung für das Problem geben wird.

Hat noch jemand hier die .rpm oder weiß woher ich die kriegen kann? Auf noveel ist die nicht mehr verfügbar...
