Mein System ist ein von 18.04 upgegradetes 20.04 das fehlerfrei funktioniert.
Heute habe ich das erste Mal ein "sudo apt-get upgrade" unter 20.04 ausgeführt um zu sehen, ob zurückgehaltene Pakete vorhanden sind. Normalerweise wird über die Aktualisierungsverwaltung aktualisiert. Die Aktualisierung ist korrekt durchgelaufen, aber mit einer Zusatzmeldung am Ende. Leider habe ich das Terminal zu schnell geschlossen.
Ich konnte mich an "initramfs" erinnern und habe da weiter gesucht. Beim Versuch mit "update-initramfs -u -k all" ist dann die identische Fehlermeldung wieder aufgetaucht.

Sehr seltsam ist, dass es die Partition RESUME=UUID=e5420706-31f7-442f-a40e-103672468986 in meinem System nicht gibt und die /dev/sdb6 die Swap ist.

Kann sich da jemand einen Reim darauf machen? Bitte nicht verwirren lassen, auf sda ist noch ein openSuse. Ps: Unter 18.04 gab es keine solche Meldung.
