Ich scheine das gleiche Problem zu haben - allerdings mit dem Unterschied, dass der RTL8191SU-Adapter bei mir unter 13.10 lief und seit dem Upgrade auf 14.04 nicht mehr. Erschwerend kommt hinzu, dass das "Benachrichtigungsfeld" unter 13.10 zur Administration des Netzwerks benutzt werden kann; unter 14.04 dient es (nur) zur Information über die Sprache des Tastatur-Schemas.
