Hallo, ich versuche mit Ubuntu auf meinem Thinkpad 600E in mein Netzwerk zu kommen. Ich habe im Laptop eine PCMCIA Netzwerkkarte 3M Megahertz 3CCFEM556BI (sie funktioniert auf dem selben Laptop unter WindowsXP und mit der Knoppix 3.5 liveCD). Diese ist über meinen Switch von Netgear direkt an mein ADSL-"Modem" angeschlossen, das als Router funktioniert (inklusive funktionierendem DHCP Server). Nach der Installertion von Ubuntu (Alternate Install) war die PCMCIA Karte immer inaktiv, ihre Statusleds waren aus. Dann habe ich entsprechend einem Hinweis acpi=force pci=noacpi in /boot/grub/menu.lst hinzugefügt, wiederum tat sich nichts. Erst das hinzufügen eines Startupscripts mit dem Inhalt pccardctl eject pccardctl insert hat der Karte Leben eingehaucht, jetzt leuchtet die entsprechende LED für 100Mbit auf. Trotzdem bekomme ich keine Verbindung ins Netzwerk. Hier die im FAQ geforderten Angaben:

Trag dein gateway (= IP-Adresse des Routers - 10.0.0.138 Gib die Einträge in der Datei /boot/grub/menu.lst unterhalb von ## ## End Default Options ## bekannt.

Hab ich früher auch schon ausprobiert, auch bei Wiederholung gabs keinerlei Auswirkung. Die pings ergeben das selbe wie vorher. mfg Oliver

Ähm: hab ich da was verpasst, oder was hat das ganze mit ACPI und Co zu tun? Laut ifconfig hat er das Device doch erkannt, oder? eth0 ist ja up. Dann kann man doch davon ausgehen, das der Treiber richtig geladen ist, oder? Dann sollte es doch nicht an ACPI liegen?! Korrigiert mich wenn ich falsch liege. P.S.: Interessant wär vllt. auch die Ausgaben von dmesg nach dem neustecken der Karte. sudo dmesg -c

Versteh ich auch nich so recht, was da los ist. Der Treiber scheint sie zu erkennen. Interface ist auch up. Und unter Knoppix läuft sie ja auch, sagstest du. Linux ist doch eigentlich gleich Linux, da müßte sie doch unter Ubuntu auch laufen. Kannst höchstens mal gucken, welches Modul unter Knoppix benutzt wird und welches unter Ubuntu und ob die gleich sind. Ansonsten, hast du schon probiert eine IP manuell zu vergeben? Und dann vllt. mal nen ping mit nem anderen Rechner als dem Router probieren? Aber eigentlich auch alles nicht logisch, wenn es in der exakt gleichen Konfiguration mit Knoppix/Windoze läuft... Sonst fällt mir leider auch jetzt nix mehr ein ... Sorry.

Manuelle Eingabe der IP ändert nichts. Vielleicht hilfts ja, also hier die Ergebnisse aus Knoppix, pings funktionieren alle normal, internet surfen sofort möglich.
