Hallo,

ich habe hier einen Pro7 Webstick (Vodafone(Huawei) E173s-1). Die Verbindung scheint zu klappen, nur trennt Network Manager die Verbindung direkt wieder.

Der Wiki EIntrag hat mir auch nicht wirklich weiter geholfen: http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/USB_ModeSwitch

Was etwas seltsam ist: Wenn ich eine neue Verbindung einrichte bekomme ich nicht die Option für Websessions angezeigt. Kann es daran liegen? Als APN verwende ich derzeit web.vodafone.net Wenn der erste Verbindungsversuch gescheitert ist wird das Modem nicht mehr erkannt/gefunden:

Die APN für Vodafone Websessions ist

event.vodafone.de

Dieses Profil wird vom Netzwerkmanager eigentlich auch angeboten. Ob es auch für Pro7 gilt, musst du selbst wissen. Bei Vodafone ist Vorsicht geboten bei falscher APN!!!

Inzwischen bin ich ratlos. Woran scheitert es?

um den Grund zu analysieren, wäre ein detailierteres Log des Modemmanagers hilfreich, wo auch die Befehle des Modemmanagers an das Modem mitprotokolliert werden. Anleitung dazu gibt es z.B.: hier.

Hallo riedochs,

kann es sein, dass du keinen Empfang im Vodafonenetz hast? Oder ist die SIM-karte vielleicht noch nicht aktiviert? Log würde ich so interpretieren, dass die automatische Netzsuche nur Netze findet, in die sich deine SIM-karte nicht einbuchen darf.

  • Antwort des Sticks ist, dass die Einbuchung ins Netz abgelehnt wurde (Status 3):

Für die Einbuchung wird noch kein APN benötigt. Ist so wie bei einem Handy. Damit sich das Handy in ein Netz einbucht, brauchst du eigentlich nur das Handy einschalten und die SIM-Karte durch Eingabe eines PIN entsperren.
