Hallo, ich nutze seit 15 Jahren Linux (ohne mich zu gut auszukennen, aber meistens komme ich mit den Anleitungen im Internet weiter ☺) und habe mir vor einer Woche ein gebrauchtes Lenovo Thinkpad 10 Tablet (20C10024GE LTE) gekauft, um darauf Linux zu installieren. Nachdem ich ein paar Distributionen ausprobiert hatte, habe ich mich für (L)Ubuntu 16.10 entschieden. Insgesamt funktioniert es recht gut. Mit der Dockingstation komme ich über das LAN-Kabel auch ins Internet,
aber das WLAN (und Bluetooth 4.0 - ich vermute, es handelt sich um dieselbe Karte) funktioniert nicht, und ein Tablet ohne WLAN ist... wenig brauchbar. lspci und lsusb ergeben leider keine Ausgabe, die auf eine existierende WLAN-Karte schließen lassen. Nach einer Woche habe ich fast resigniert; ich komme einfach nicht weiter. Kann mir jemand von Euch weiterhelfen? Danke und beste Grüße gnassauer

Hallo, da wird nichts angezeigt. Der Adapter wird folglich als SDIO-Gerät in das System eingebunden sein, vermutlich eine Broadcom BCM43241 Dualband-Karte. Treibermodul wäre dann brcmfmac welches im Kernel enthalten ist. Es kann aber Probleme mit der Firmware geben. Kann auch sen, dass es nicht läuft. Zeige mal die Liste der geladenen Module und Schnittstellen:

iwconfig
ls -l /lib/firmware/brcm/*
dmesg | grep -i brcm

Siehe dir noch einmal die Beschreibung zur Forensyntax an und verwende die Vorschau und einen Codeblock zur Darstellung, damit alles gut lesbar ist.

(Meinst Du, die Karte kann ich dann gar nicht zum Laufen kriegen? Die Firmware scheint ja installiert zu sein...)

Sieht nicht mal schlecht aus, dass Modul wird geladen, Hardwareerkennung ist ok, Schnittstelle ist auch schon vorhanden (wwp0s20u3). Ein Firmwareproblem, so wie vermutet.
brcmfmac mmc1:0001:1: Direct firmware load for brcm/brcmfmac43241b5-sdio.txt failed with error -2
Das System „sucht“ nach der Datei, aber mit der Erweiterung *.txt. Normaleweise sollte das keine Rolle spielen, aber kopiere einfach mal die vorhandene Datei mit der gesuchten Erweiterung im entsprechenden Verzeichnis. Vorhanden ist die /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43241b5-sdio.bin

Sorry, das hab ich noch nicht richtig verstanden:
Die .bin-Datei ist doch im selben Verzeichnis abgelegt, oder?
Wohin muss ich sie dann im System kopieren?
Oder soll ich den Quellcode der Datei hier ins Forum kopieren?

Einfach im selben Verzeichnis kopieren → cp
| sudo cp /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43241b5-sdio.bin /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43241b5-sdio.txt

Modul entladen/laden und erneut schauen:
| sudo modprobe -rfv brcmfmac
sudo modprobe -v brcmfmac
iwconfig
dmesg | grep -i brcm

Ah, danke.
Da hat sich leider laut Ausgabe (noch) nichts getan: Der "failed error -2" ist stehengeblieben...
Er scheint also in der txt-Datei immer noch nicht zu finden, was er braucht.
Das Kopieren hat aber geklappt, zumindest gab es keine Fehlermeldung...

Hmm, das Modul brcmfmac ist zwar signiert, dennoch könnte es beim Laden der Firmware Probleme mit aktiven Secure-Boot des UEFI geben. Schau doch mal nach, ob sich SB abschalten lässt.

Das sind ja auch unterschiedliche Dateien, mit der Endung .bin und .txt (data und ASCII-Text, siehe auch die Größe). Hier
ein anderes Beispiel dafür:

Ich habe gerade noch einen Versuch gemacht und erst die Datei im Firmware-Verzeichnis gelöscht, bevor ich die neue hineinverschoben habe.
Jetzt funktioniert es. DANKE für die Hilfe! Was mir jetzt noch fehlt, sind der Bluetooth-Zugang, der leider immer noch nicht funktioniert (ich hatte die Hoffnung, es handele sich um dieselbe Karte, also auch dasselbe Problem 😉 ); und das Powermanagement zeigt mir zwar die Aufladung der externen USB-Maus an, aber leider nicht die Ladung des Tablet-Akkus... ...aber dafür muss ich wahrscheinlich zwei neue Themen aufmachen, oder? DANKE nochmal für die schnelle und effektive Hilfe!
