(Ich habe den Benutzer in die Gruppe "lp" und in die Gruppe "saned" hinzugefügt - das wird aber vermutlich nur für sane-find-scanner benötigt)

Unklar ist mir, warum hier noch ein zweiter erkannt wird. Der erste tut nach dem Booten in der Regel nicht.
Nach dem Wechsel des USB-Steckplatzes funktioniert er plötzlich (dieses Phänomen hatte ich vor langer Zeit unter Linux mit einem anderen Gerät). Ich tippe auf einen Problem mit der USB-Lib oder Kernel USB Treiber spontan.
Im Log finde ich im Fehlerfall keinerlei Ausgaben. Beim Umstecken stehen nur die Drucker Ausgaben drin, nichts vom Scanner:

Wird der Scanner gefunden, funktioniert das Scannen problemlos.
Gibt es irgendein anderes Log für sane, das mehr enthält als die Ausgabe von scanimage -L ?
