Ich beziehe mich immer wieder und aus gutem Grund auf ein und dieselbe Anleitung, die permanent aktualisiert wird - und nicht mal jetzt liest Du sie Dir richtig durch. Dort steht das alles drin.

Wenn du den Punkt mit: sudo python ~/Downloads/hp/hplip/hplip*/uninstall.py meinst, der fragt mich ob ich die .20 (Ubuntu Repository) entfernen möchte und nicht die .18. Außerdem wäre dies ja wie du schon sagtest nicht sinnvoll, wenn ich es darüber installiere, da ja schon Pakete aus dem Repository von Ubuntu installiert sind und dann weiteren Mischmasch hätte. Wie bekomme ich den das besagte Plugin: hplip-3.21.6-plugin.run aus den Ubuntu Repositorys? In der passenden .20 Version natürlich.
Ich konnte Officejet in der genannten Liste nicht finden: https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/binary_plugin.html
Heißt das ich dies gar nicht brauche?

Hallo Revan335, von.wert hat Dir doch bereits einen Link zu einer ausführlichen, verständlichen und narrensicheren "Schritt-für-Schritt" Anleitung genannt! Warum mixt Du die genannte Anteilung trotzdem noch mit diversen anderen Tipps oder Anleitungen? Wer keine Probleme hat, macht sich welche?

Nein. Versuche es mit sudo hp-plugin -i Falls auch das Scheitert gibt es noch andere Möglichkeiten. Frage Sehe ich es richtig das der HP zur Zeit normal Funktioniert? Incl. Scanner und Drucker?

Das bezieht sich auf "Chrome OS Support", die nächste Spalte "Driver Plug-in" unterschlägst Du. Dort steht "No". Also: Wenn man hplip-3.21.6.run installiert, kann man zwar hplip-3.21.6-plugin.run dazu installieren, für dieses Modell wird es aber nicht benötigt.

Bei sudo geht es auch nicht, da wird auch eine Warnung angezeigt, dass dies nicht empfohlen wird. 1

Ja, derzeit funktioniert Scannen und Drucken.
Kann den Drucker aber gerne auch nochmal entfernen und wieder hinzufügen und dann nochmal schauen ob er dann von der hpcups .18 auf die .20 geht, die laut Log nun installiert ist.
Sofern dies das richtige Paket ist, stimmt die Version schon.

Kann den Drucker aber gerne auch nochmal entfernen und wieder hinzufügen und dann nochmal schauen ob er dann von der hpcups .18 auf die .20 geht, die laut Log nun installiert ist.
Kannst du ...brauchst du aber nicht,da ja Funktioniert.
