Ich habe ein 12.04 in einer Virtual Box laufen (neu installiert). Leider funkioniert das Mausrad nicht beim scrollen (z.B. im Firefox, aber auch bei anderen Anwendungen).
Wo kann ich das aktivieren?

Hallo themw, ich habe exakt das gleiche Problem. Mir wäre das egal, wenn ich sicher sein könnte, dass dies lediglich ein Problem der VirtualBox ist, da ich 12.04 (LTS) nur zu Testzwecken in der Box installiert habe. Vor einer Installation von 12.04 auf meinem Rechner als Ersatz für oneiric ocelot hätte ich das natürlich gerne gewusst, denn das Mausrad ist für mich unverzichtbar. Leider bin ich bisher durch googeln nicht fündig geworden. Vielleicht meldet sich noch jemand, der uns hier helfen kann. Gruß von der Ostsee |

Hallo Usedom, ich hatte schon ein wenig gegooglet, aber alle Workarounds setzen auf die xorg.conf, die es in der Form nicht mehr so gibt. Ich denke, dass das die Leute von Canonical & Co fixen werden, aber ich befürchte, dass es nicht die oberste Priorität hat ... viele Grüsse themw P.S.: Eine schöne Insel! |

Hallo themw, ich habe mich mal mit dem evdev-Protokoll beschäftigt. Leider habe ich noch nicht alles verstanden; ist bei mir aber auch eine Frage der Zeit. evdev ist ein Protokoll für Eingabegeräte, insbesondere für Mäuse. Einträge hierzu finden sich in der Datei Xorg.0.log im Verzeichnis /var/log/. Hallo allerseits, Gasterweiterungen waren bereits installiert. Die Maus wird ja erkannt. Ich denke, dass man nur die Stelle finden muss, an der man die 3. Maustaste/ Mausrad belegen bzw. erkannen lassen kann. Unter Windows war meine Logitech M705 auch zickig, aber da gings mit dem SetPoint themw |

Das ist nur die halbe Wahrheit: Precise hat "veraltete" Guest-additions v4.1.12 (s. hier. Im Moment sind die aktuellen v 4.1.16 in Sid und in 10 Tagen kommen die in Form, von virtualbox-guest-utils virtualbox-guest-x11 virtualbox-guest-dkms in Wheezy an. S. hier. Wenn Ubuntu das nicht updatet, mußt du die 3 o.g. Pakete purgen und die Additions von Oracle installieren. Viele Grüße, |

ohje, wenn man eine neue VirtualBox-Version installiert, bringt diese die notwendigen Gasterweiterungen mit! schau mal in /usr/share/virtualbox ☺ Da liegt ein .iso mit den Gasterweiterungen, welches man im Gast mountet und installiert, vielleicht mal ab und an ins Handbuch schauen, dort steht genau beschrieben wie und womit man die Gasterweiterungen installiert. |

Solltest du auch, da steht dann auch, daß man die "alten", die z.B. auch Ubuntu bei der Installation automatisch installiert, erst komplett entfernen soll/muß, sonst gibt's füher oder später wirklich Ärger. apt-get purge ... |

Exakt kann ich dir das nicht sagen, da ich kein Ubuntu > 10.04 hier auf dem PC oder in einer VM habe. Aber sowohl Mint-Maya als auch Wheezy bemerken das und installieren - falls sie in einer VM installiert werden - automatisch die genannten Pakete und zwar in Version 4.1.12: virtualbox-guest-utils virtualbox-guest-x11 virtualbox-guest-dkms Das läßt sich vermeiden, wenn man den Debian-Installer im Experten-Modus verwendet, aktuell die Alpha1 vom 13.05.2012, dort kann man das dann abwählen und man bekommt ein System ohne guest-additions. Da der Installer von Ubuntu sicher auf dem DI basiert, habe ich angenommen, daß er sich ebenso verhält. Und wenn man die 3 Pakete nicht vor der Installation der Oracle-guest-additions purget, gibt es über kurz oder lang Konflikte - und das alles steht auch irgendwo im Manual 😉 |
