Naja, ich hatte mich geirrt: Ich saß am verkehrten Computer. Ich habe 2 Computer und ich saß an dem mit dem alten Version 15.10 . Jetzt sitze ich an dem mit der Version 16.04 LTS . Und da habe ich dieses gemacht. Also
gksudo gedit /etc/apache2/mods-available/php7.0.conf
So wird diese Datei bei mir dann angezeigt:

</IfModule> Ich habe also diese Zeichen # vor diese Zeile eingefügt und die Datei gespeichert. Leider geht bei mir das phpmyadmin immer noch nicht.

OK, hast Du auch noch:
service apache2 restart gemacht? Das ist notwendig. Ansonsten war das mein letzter Ratschlag, was sein könnte... Sorry.

Das hatte ich schon gemacht. Ich habe es jetzt sogar noch einmal gemacht. Ich danke Dir trotzdem. Jetzt will ich erst 'mal das Hash-Zeichen # wieder aus der Datei machen.

Soweit ich es verstanden habe, muss es so oder so da drin bleiben, also das #-Zeichen. Sonst wirst Du nachher wieder Probleme bekommen. Das dient ja dazu, dass Du localhost auch abseits des regulären Ordners aufrufen kannst. Beispielsweise, wenn Du im home-Ordner die Dateien lagerst.

Ich habe eben das Hash # -Zeichen wieder eingefügt und die Datei gespeichert. Mal sehen, ob jemand noch eine Idee hat, wie ich wieder zu meinem phpmyadmin kommen kann.

Ich habe meine ganzen CMS neu eingerichtet. Das ist das einzige, was Du wahrscheinlich noch nicht probiert hast. Und ich hoffe, Du musst das nicht machen. Habe es nur gemacht, weil ich sowieso noch nichts an den CMS getestet hatte. Von daher war das kein Problem und ich hatte nichts zu verlieren. Du hast vorhin geschrieben, dass das Paket "php-mbstring php7.0" (das ist übrigens der falsche Name: richtig wäre: php7.0mbstring) bei Dir installiert ist. Aber die anderen genannten Pakete hast Du nicht erwähnt, sind die auch installiert? Also: php-mbstring und php-gettext? Sind die auch da? Wenn nicht, installieren und nochmal den Apache2 neustarten (nicht den Rechner).

Dann hast Du die richtigen Pakete installiert. Das einzige, was mir momentan noch einfällt, ist dass Du eventuell – wie in der bereits oben verlinkten Anleitung angegeben – noch zwei Module explizit aktivieren musst:
sudo phpenmod mcrypt
sudo phpenmod mbstring
sudo systemctl restart apache2

Es ist mir schon unangenehm, aber ich kann keinen Erfolg melden. Bei localhost/phpmyadmin kommt nach wie vor die Meldung: Diese Webseite ist nicht verfügbar. Ich habe also, wie von coram empfohlen, alle 3 Zeilen durch copy und paste im Terminal eingefügt und durchgeführt. Leider kein Erfolg.

Kannst Du denn überhaupt die Localhost-Startseite mit http://localhost/ (ohne phpmyadmin) aufrufen?

Ich würde fast vermuten, das Apache dann gar nicht läuft.

Davon gehe ich jetzt auch aus. wolfgang1939, führe vielleicht mal im Terminal
sudo service apache2 stop
sudo service apache2 start
aus und zeige anschließend den Inhalt der Log-Datei /var/log/apache2/error.log.

Hast du auch eine Webanwendung in Python laufen? Die Meldung Remove the mod_python module from the Apache configuration. ist nicht sehr schwer verstaendlich. a2dismod python
