Beim Versuch mit Hilfe des Kochrezepts im Wiki bin ich bis zum rsync gekommen, aber obwohl ich den Befehl kopiert habe, tut er nicht viel sondern liefert nur folgende Ausgabe

Wenn Du Leseprobleme auf der Systempartition hast, sichere die Einstellungen und Paketlisten und installiere unbedingt neu!

Das System sichern naemlich durch Umzug wollte ich ja, aber rsync arbeitet nicht und cp auch nicht. Wie sonst?

rsync arbeit wohl. Du musst die Partitionen dort eingehängt haben, wo Du sie mit dem rsync Befehl angibst. sdd2 liegt z.B. auf "/media/ubuntu/bc1a9f78-5f5f-48cb-b144-8207ea4a7383" ("automatisch" eingebunden?) und nicht /mnt/sdd2. Also entweder die Partitionen z.B. durch Klicken im Dateimanager einhängen und dann diese Einhängepunkte mit rsync verwenden oder (besser) die Partitionen manuell einhängen (siehe mount).

Wie von Thomas geschrieben: sdd2 ist ganz woanders eingehängt, sdb6 zudem überhaupt nicht (Kein Eintrag in der Ausgabe von mount).

Du solltest also sdd2 aushängen und dann beide an den von dir gewünschten Stellen neu einhängen. Den Link ins Wiki hat Thomas ja schon gegeben. Der Einfachheit halber hier mal die entsprechenden Befehle:

Aushängen von sdd2 (Alternativ über den Dateimanager)

sudo umount /dev/sdd2

Danach

sudo mount /dev/sdd2 /mnt/sdd2
sudo mount /dev/sdb6 /mnt/sdb6

Danach solltest du kurz testen ob mount die beiden Partitionen anzeigt, zudem solltest du gucken ob du mittel ls -la /mnt/sdb6 auch die Dateien siehst die auf der Platte sein sollen.

Danach sollte dein rsync-Aufruf funktionieren.

Warum hälst du dich dann nicht an das Kochrezept? Ubuntu umziehen

Zuert aus einem Live-System einen Mountpunkt (/mnt/alt) für das Ausgangsystem erstellen und dann die Quellpartition auf diesem Mountpoint einhängen.

sudo mkdir /mnt/alt
sudo mount -o ro /dev/sda1 /mnt/alt 

Dann das gleiche mit der Zielpartition (/mnt/neu)

sudo mkdir /mnt/neu
sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/neu 

Mit rsync wird dann von /mnt/alt nach /mnt/neu kopiert und nicht von /dev/sdax nach /dev/sday.

sudo rsync --stats --progress --numeric-ids -axAhHSP  /mnt/alt/ /mnt/neu/ 

So funktioniert es. Hab es schon ein Dutzend mal gemacht.

Kaum macht man´s richtig schon funktioniert es. 😉

Also, zunaechst Bogenschuetze. Wenn ich nach Kochrezept vorgehe, dann geschieht Folgendes
