Hallo zusammen,

habe einiges im Internet recherchiert, schaffe es aber leider nicht den Ton anzustellen. Ich wollte meine Videokassetten endlich mal digitalisieren, darum habe ich mir den Video Grabber von Terratec Grabster AV 350 gekauft. Das Bild funktioniert einwandfrei aber leider bekomme ich keinen Ton.

Mit lsusb bekomme ich folgendes angezeigt:

Habe auch eine Seite gefunden, wo Tipps gegeben werden: http://www.linux-hardware-guide.de/2013-04-13-terratec-videosystem-grabster-av-350-mx-videoschnitt-usb-2-0 Leider hat mir das nicht weitergeholfen. Der Ton kommt trotzdem nicht. Ich habe irgendwie den Verdacht, dass der Sound nicht umgeleitet wird. Denn das Video muss über /dev/video1 ausgegeben werden. Der Sound kommt aber vom eingebauten Mikrofon. Hat jemand einen Tipp wie ich dies umstellen kann? Viele Dank.

Hallo zusammen,

kann mir keiner weiterhelfen? Das Problem ist "nur" der Ton. Ich habe im PulseAudio-Lautstärkeregler "rumgespielt", aber ich höre keinen Sound. Unter Eingabegerät wird das Gerät "Grabster AV 350 Digital Stereo (IEC958)" aber angezeigt. Was kann ich noch machen? Irgend ein Tipp? Übrigens mit folgenden Befehl wird die Soundmodul auch ausgewiesen:

Hallo zusammen,

Schade das ich hier keine Hilfe bekomme. Ich kann mich auch nicht an den Hersteller wenden, da es hier heißt: Wir können ihnen nur unter Windows weiterhelfen. Ich werde aber trotzdem aufschreiben, was ich schon alles versucht habe, bei meiner tagelangen "Google-Such-Aktion". Mit Hilfe des Programmes "qv4l2" kann ich jetzt endlich einen Ton ausgeben. Man muss nur auf der Registerkarte "User Controls" bei Mute den Haken raus nehmen. Aber mit mplayer,mencoder oder ffmpeg ist es mir leider nicht gelungen einen Ton auszugeben bzw. aufzunehmen. Bei meiner Suche bin ich auf den SimpleScreenRecoder gestoßen. Damit kann ich Bild und Ton aufnehmen. Der Haken ist nur, dass der Ton total stottert! So eine Aufnahme ist nicht zu gebrauchen. Also habe ich weiter rumprobiert. Aus Verzweiflung habe ich auch mal den Jack-Soundserver installiert. Und plötzlich hatte ich einen astreinen Ton. Nur kein Bild mehr ☹ Also weiter rumprobiert. Nachdem ich den Rechner aufgeräumt und upgedatet hatte, kam wieder Bild und Ton, aber der Ton stottert weiterhin. Fazit:

• Das Bild ist ok.

• Der Ton ist ohne Bild ok.

• Mit Bild nur stotternder Ton.

Das heißt, wenn ich jetzt den Ton noch sauber hinbekomme, und das muss ja prinzipiell möglich sein, sonst hätte es ja nicht schon funktioniert, dann wäre es super und ich könnte mein Problem als gelöst betrachten. Aber wie bekomme ich einen sauberen Ton? Die diversen Einstellungen in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf haben bei mir leider keine Veränderung bewirkt. Evlt. mit Jack, aber hier weiß ich auch nicht wie ich diesen einstelle? Ein anhängen an mplayer mit -ao jack zeigt keine Wirkung. Nun bin ich am Ende meines Lateins und kann keine Aufnahmen machen. Schon ärgerlich...

Vielleicht ist folgende Information hilfreich.

Ich habe auch ein Grabster AV 350 MX (im Folgenden nur noch 350 genannt). Diesen 350 vor über 11 Jahren gekauft. Vor 11 Jahren unter Windows verwendet. Bis gestern seit 10 Jahren im Kasten gestanden. Und habe mich gestern erstmals mit diesem 350 unter Linux "ubuntu 16.04 LTS" (Kernel version:

) beschäftigt. Bei mir funktioniert die Digitalisierung eines 30 Sekunden Clips (kam noch nicht dazu längere Videos zu digitalisieren) mittels mencoder:

Und Bild und Ton sind OK.

Ich habe mir eine Anleitung zur Digitalisierung geschrieben, welche ich mir erlaube hier zu posten (ist auf Englisch, da ich mir meine Notizen in Englisch erstelle):

1. Connect the 350 through USB to the computer.

   1. Note: the 350 red LED should shine.

2. Either: Connect the 350 through video and audio jacks to the video/audio-source. Switch the 350 switch to the Video-position.

3. Or: Connect the 350 through Scart to the video/audio-source. Switch the 350 switch to the Scart-position.

4. Play back the video/audio-source.

5. The basis for the following terminal command was taken from ^[1], chapter “Making it Work”, and adapted. Adapted especially with information from ^[2], chapter "MPlayer und Mencoder", sub-chapter "Aufnehmen mit MEncoder":

   1	mencoder tv:// -tv device=/dev/video0:input=0:width=720:height=576:outfmt=uyvy:fps=25:alsa:adevice=hw.2:audiorate=48000:amode=1:forceaudio:immediatemode=0 -ffourcc DX50 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:mbd=2:turbo:vbitrate=4800:keyint=15 -oac mp3lame -noskip -o out.avi

   1. Note regarding mencoder command:

      1. See ^[3] for details.

      2. For the -tv options search in ^[3] for -tv , and see its first entry. And see below this first entry for the options.

   2. Note regarding alsa:adevice=hw.2: See ^[2], chap. "ALSA-Soundsystem" for a "how to"-find out the correct number after hw.

   3. Note regarding width=720:height=576: This is stated on ^[4] as PAL.

   4. Note regarding input=0: After executing mencoder it states: inputs: 0 = Composite1; 1 = S-Video; . And the video-source is in my case connected to the 350 through composite.

   5. Note: In case the capture time duration is known, add -endpos 00:01:00 to the command, and adapt the time duration (0:1:0 is just an example).

6. In a terminal execute the above command to start capturing the video/audio-source.

7. When the play back is finished, end the capturing in the terminal by pressing Ctrl+C.

8. Note: Following possible problem might occur: Replaying the captured video shows:

   1. The captured video runs faster than the original source (original source: 25 seconds, captured video: ~15 to 20 seconds).

   2. The captured video and audio are out of sync. More specific: The audio runs faster than the video.

   3. Above problem was observed until now every time when I connect the 350 for the first time of the day to my computer, and capture for the first time of the day a video.

      1. Note: In the terminal which executes mencoder, mencoder prints the position time in 1/10 seconds. For example:

         1 2 3 4 5 6 7

         Pos: 30.2s ... ... Pos: 30.3s ... ... Pos: 30.3s ... ... Pos: 30.4s ...

      2. It could be observed, that this printed position time progress is not in sync with the "wall clock". Instead, this printed position time progress is slower, compared to the "wall clock".

   4. Until now identified problem solution: Disconnect the USB connection between 350 and the computer. Wait for 30 seconds. Reconnect the USB connection. Capture a video. Now the problem could no longer be observed.

Aber mit mplayer,mencoder oder ffmpeg ist es mir leider nicht gelungen einen Ton auszugeben bzw. aufzunehmen.

vermute ich, dass es etwas mit deinen mencoder Audio-Settings zu tun hat. Deshalb würde ich deine Settings gegen folgende (welche ich einfach von obiger Anleitung hierher kopiert habe) überprüfen:

• alsa:adevice=hw.2 - siehe hierzu ^[2] Kapitel "ALSA-Soundsystem" um zu überprüfen ob du die richtige Zahl nach hw gesetzt hast.

• audiorate=48000:amode=1:forceaudio:immediatemode=0 - siehe hierzu ^[1] Kapitel "Making it Work", die zweite NOTE.

Was vielleicht auch noch hilfreich sein kann:

• Viele hilfreiche und erklärende Information können in ^[2] gefunden werden.

• Informationen können auch in ^[5] gefunden werden.

  • ^[5] schreibt aber auch "Do not use mplayer to record VHS/camcorder tapes" und verweist auf ^[6].

• Führe im Terminal folgendes aus um Informationen über das 350 zu erhalten (Hinweis: In deinem Fall muss es /dev/video1 sein.):

  1	v4l2-ctl -d /dev/video0 --all

• Vielleicht hilft dir ^[7], "Bug Description", Absatz welcher mit WORKAROUND beginnt. Hinweis: Ich habe diesen Workaround nicht verwendet.

Im Folgenden ein paar Kommandozeilen Ausgaben von meinem Computer, welche vielleicht für dich, zum Vergleichen, hilfreich sein können:
