In China (Ubuntu-PC mit und ohne VPN) funktioniert das "Reverse lookup" für facebook nicht. Port 443 der 31.13.81.97 ist erreichbar. Siehe mal im Browser mit "https://31.13.81.97"

EDIT:

Versuch mal zu loggen, welche Server Ubuntu aus China, für das reverse dns (für die Facebook-IP-Adresse 31.13.81.97) nicht erreichen kann: 

sudo tcpdump -vn -i any dst port 53 or src port 53

Evtl. auch mit: http://ping.eu/nslookup/ versuchen.

EDIT 2:

Im Gegensatz zu dig, benutzt host den vorgegebenen DNS-Server (hier 8.8.4.4). Versuch mal auch: 

host -v 31.13.81.97 8.8.4.4

Das ist mir leider zu hoch .. :-S Ich will doch einfach nur ein VPN benutzen ☹ Wo könnte denn mein Fehler liegen? Soll ich den VPN Server noch mal neu aufsetzen? Oder liegt es an meinem Desktop hier?

Nein. Ich denke nicht, dass es am VPN-Server bzw. am Desktop liegt.

Die Frage ist, warum reverse lookup im VPN aus China, mit deinen DNS-Servern nicht funktioniert.

Da ich in diesem Thread https://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/vpn-pptp-unter-xubuntu-geht-nicht-korrekt/ mit dem gleichen Problem kämpfe, und ich durch zufall auf diesen Thread gestoßen bin: Gab es für dein Problem eine Lösung?

Komme mit meinem Android Smartphone durch alle Iranischen Zensurmaschinen. Mit den gleichen Verbindungsdaten aber nicht vom Xubuntu-Laptop. Es ist also eindeutig ein Xubuntu-Fehlerverhalten. ☹
