hallo ihr tapferen unterstützer*innen, ich war ein paar tage weg und danach ging bei meinem Lenovo ThinkPad P51s W10DG das WLAN nicht mehr, es zeigte bei den einstellungen nicht mal die existenz von wlan an. irgendwann auf einmal aber doch wieder, mit der meldung "kein funknetzwerkadapter gefunden", dann wieder gab es keine möglichkeit in den einstellungen was zu wlan zu finden. ich hab hier mal bisschen rum gelesen und ein paar terminal abfragen gestellt, ich hänge screenshots vom terminal hier an, sorry, wusste keine bessere methode (wie kann ich sowas hier direkt rein kopieren? ich bin so ein dummie!) danke schonmal im vorraus, heike

Erste Gedanke:

Haste evtl. den Flugmodus aktiviert? Wie beim Smartphone/Tablet gibt es bei vielen Notebooks auch einen Funktionstaste, die den Flugmodus aktiviert. Bei meinem hp ist es die Taste F12, die eben auch ein Flugzeug als Symbol zeigt. Drückt man die versehentlich sind Bluetooth und WiFi weg.

PS: und der Inhalt der Bilder gehört per Copy and Paste in den Codeblock (Symbol: < >) direkt oben im Texteingabefeld.

danke dir für den hinweis @coraggioso, möglicherweise habe ich das schon probiert, es gibt eine F taste mit einem durchgestrichenen funkmast, aber weder die einfach nur so oder in Kombi mit Fn zu drücken hat etwas gebracht. oder muss ich das LAN kabel ausstecken um zu merken, ob es funktioniert? bei den eistellungen von ubuntu kann man anscheinend keinen flugmodus einstellen, oder habe ich das übersehen?

Und nachdem ich grep -i iwlwifi eingegeben habe läuft anscheinend ein Prozess im Terminal und ich kann keine neuen Befehle eingeben 😐 kann ich es schliessen und neu öffnen? Hilft das ?

Nimm doch in Zukunft einfach die Maus. Markiere mit dieser die Befehle, die du ausführen sollst und füge sie per Copy and Paste in den Terminal ein. Das erspart Fehler beim Abtippen und die Suche nach Tasten die du bisher noch nie benutzt hast 😉

Was soll das eigentlich werden? Oben schreibst du etwas von Thinkpad P51s, in deinen Terminalausgaben lese ich mehrmals etwas von T570

Um welches Thinkpad handelt es sich genau? Zeige die Ausgabe von

inxi -Fz

inxi muss evtl. erst installiert werden per

sudo apt install inxi

oder _nur_ wenn der Focus richtig/passend ist, mit z. B.: strg c

Was genau funktioniert aus irgendwelchen Gründen nicht? Das einfügen im Terminal?

Ich nutze Xubuntu, daher also vermutlich einen anderen Terminal als du, nämlich den xfce4-terminal. Auch da kann man nicht mit der rechten Maustaste oder STRG-V einfügen, aber über das Menü des xfce4-terminals und zwar Bearbeiten → Einfügen. Etwas vergleichbares wird es ziemlich sicher auch beim Terminal von Ubuntu geben.
