Hallo zusammen, bin seit heute frischgebackene Ubuntu-Nutzerin und bisher ganz zufrieden, nur leider will das WLAN einfach nicht funktionieren. Mein Problem scheinen wohl schon mehrere gehabt zu haben und ich habe auch schon 6h lang gegoogelt und verschiedene Sachen ausprobiert, aber jetzt muss ich dann doch in einem eigenen Thread um Hilfe bitten. Alsooo: das WLAN-Netz wird vom Network Manager zwar erkannt, er verbindet aber nicht. Er versucht ständig die Verbindung herzustellen, nach ca. 2min fragt er mich dann aber wieder nach dem Passwort ("Legitimation für das Funknetzwerk benötigt") und das Spiel geht von vorne los. Das WLAN-Passwort ist definitiv richtig, 2 andere Laptops und mein Handy sind ja damit auch im Netz. Zwischenzeitlich findet er das WLAN-Netz dann überhaupt nicht mehr. Kurios ist, dass ich es heute nachmittag zeitweise sogar über WLAN ins Internet geschafft habe. Die Verbindung hielt aber immer nur wenige Minuten und nur, wenn ich direkt neben dem Router saß. Wenn ich mich entfernt habe, war die Verbindung gleich wieder weg. Mittlerweile geht aber wieder gar nichts mehr. Ich wäre sehr dankbar für Hilfe, am besten so idiotensicher wie möglich formuliert. Wenn weitere Infos benötigt werden, liefere ich die natürlich gleich nach, nur vielleicht habt ihr ja auch schon so eine Ahnung, woran das liegen könnte.

Okay, also zu den grundlegenden Sachen:
Notebook ist ein Asus ASUS X54C-SO249DU, WLAN-Router die EasyBOX 803-A von Vodafone.
Verbindung über Kabel funktioniert, andere Geräte sind auch über WLAN problemlos mit dem Router verbunden. All die restlichen Infos: nicole@nicole-K54C:~$ uname -a

Hallo Nicse, In der Weboberfläche der EasyBox den Kanal auf z.B. 6 oder 9 ändern und die Verschlüsselung falls möglich auf reine WPA2 (AES/CCMP) stellen sowie MAC Filter deaktivieren bzw. die MAC Adresse vom WLAN eintragen / zulassen. Gruss Lidux

Erledigt, so gut es ging. Die Verschlüsselung habe ich umgestellt, allerdings ging das nur auf WPA2/PSK (von AES/CCMP war da nichts zu lesen).
Bei der MAC Adresse bin ich ein bisschen planlos: die MAC-Adresse vom WLAN Router dort eintragen bei "Benutzerdefinierte MAC-Adresse"? (siehe angehängter Screenshot) EDIT: Jedenfalls funktioniert es immer noch nicht, nach wie vor wird keine Verbindung hergestellt. AUßER ich stehe direkt neben dem WLAN-Router. Dann ist plötzlich eine Verbindung da, entferne ich mich 3 Schritte ist sie sofort wieder weg.

Hallo Nicse, Bei "BSSID" kannst du die MAC Adresse des Routers eintragen, wenn du den Rechner nur zu Hause nutzen solltest. Mache bitte mal noch die Screens von den anderen 3 Reitern (ip4, ip6 etc.) und nochmal die Ausgabe von: sudo iwlist scan wegen der Verschlüsselung. Im Router wird beim MAC Filter die Adresse e0:06:e6:09:11:e5 hinterlegt. PS: Das mit dem Power Management habe ich leider übersehen ... Danke elektronenblitz63, mit diesem Treiber habe ich auch meine gewissen Schwierigkeiten nur eben unter Lubuntu 12.04, also bist du da nicht alleine. Gruss Lidux

Ich hab das Powermanagement jetzt manuell über
sudo iwconfig wlan0 power off
auszuschalten versucht. Das Powermanagement lässt sich bei Akkubetrieb dann auch ausschalten, wenn ich mich dann aber wieder vom Router entferne (vom Flur ins Wohnzimmer, das ist wirklich kein weiter Weg) ist die Verbindung zwar da für ein paar Minuten, aber extrem langsam bis sie dann komplett wieder abbricht.
Bei Netzbetrieb ist es übrigens auch so, die Verbindung wird einfach nicht hergestellt oder eben nicht aufrecht erhalten (außer ich stehe/sitze eben direkt neben dem Router).
Weitere Beobachtung: schalte ich im Akkubetrieb das Powermanagement ab, stecke dann das Netzteil ein und kurz danach wieder aus, ist das Powermanagement im Akkubetrieb schon wieder an.

Bei Netzbetrieb ist es übrigens auch so, die Verbindung wird einfach nicht hergestellt oder eben nicht aufrecht erhalten (außer ich stehe/sitze eben direkt neben dem Router).
Dann würde ich den aktuellen Treiber rt5390sta V2.5.0.3 von Ralink empfehlen. Anleitung über DKMS
Weitere Beobachtung: schalte ich im Akkubetrieb das Powermanagement ab, stecke dann das Netzteil ein und kurz danach wieder aus, ist das Powermanagement im Akkubetrieb schon wieder an.
Hilft mir die Änderung im Skript, die du in den anderen Threads beschrieben hast?
Natürlich, dass ist ja ein dynamischer Prozess. IPv6 kannst Du im Heimnetzwerk normalerweise auf „ignorieren“ setzen.

Hallo Nicse, So wie elektronenblitz63 schon anmerkte IP6 auf ignorieren stellen und bei ip4 habe ich den Haken bei ip4 Adressierung nicht gesetzt. Die Verschlüsselung ist auf reines WPA 2 (CCMP) laut dem Scan und auch genug entfernt zu einem anderen Cell. Schau mal im Router ob du den N-Modus (nur B+G Modus) und falls vorhanden WPS abstellen kannst. Gruss Lidux

Habe versucht, den Ralink-Treiber zu installieren und habe die Anleitung befolgt (soweit ich es verstanden habe). Leider ist das Resultat, dass jetzt gar nichts mehr geht in Bezug auf WLAN. Daraus schließe ich, dass ich wohl etwas falsch gemacht habe (was mich auch nicht wundert, ich habe wirklich gar keine Ahnung). Ich habe mir jedenfalls das vorbereitete Treiberpaket heruntergeladen, meine weiteren Schritte im Terminal habe ich mal als Text-Datei gespeichert und auf einen anderen Laptop gezogen. Vielleicht/hoffentlich lässt sich nachvollziehen, was ich falsch gemacht oder vergessen habe (oder wie ich das notfalls wieder rückgängig machen kann): nicole@nicole-K54C:~$ sudo apt-get install --reinstall linux-headers-$(uname -r) build-essential dkms

Folgendes erneut wiederholen. Da fehlt nur ein Unterverzeichnis. Der Befehl muss um die Option -p ergänzt werden.
sudo mkdir -p /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA
sudo tar xvf 3473742-RT2860STA.dat.tar.gz -C /etc/Wireless/RT2860STA
Alles andere wurde fehlerfrei ausgeführt. Sperre noch den Systemtreiber rt2800pci wie beschrieben und starten dann neu.

Alle Schritte erledigt, endlich funktioniert es und es wird auch eine Verbindung hergestellt wenn ich mich nicht direkt neben dem Router befinde! Super, danke dafür! Leider ist die Verbindung einige Male sofort wieder abgebrochen sobald ich den Browser geöffnet hatte und das Internet endlich auch einmal nutzen wollte. 😉 Momentan ist sie seit immerhin ca. 10min stabil, ich hoffe das bleibt so und mein Problem ist behoben. Vielen Dank, elektronenblitz63 und Lidux! EDIT: Zu früh gefreut. Mal hält die Verbindung 15min, mal 2min, meistens wird sie wieder getrennt, sobald ich den Browser öffne und z.B. eine Google-Suche starten will. Ne Idee, woran das liegen könnte?
