ohne dass ich was an der Konfiguration geändert habe, findet das System die Wifi Karte nicht mehr.

iwconfig ergibt:

lo        no wireless extensions.

enxf8e43b742f05  no wireless extensions.

Ich fürchte, ich habe ein Hardware Problem. Was meint ihr?

Schau mal im BIOS/UEFI, ob der Adapter da deaktiviert ist. Falls nein, mal deaktivieren und wieder aktivieren. Ich hatte mal so nen kuriosen Fall, bei dem das geholfen hat.

Es ist wohl tatsächlich ein Hardware Problem. Der Dell ist eigentlich soweit ganz reparaturfreundlich. Allerdings kenne ich mich nicht besonders gut aus. Kennt ihr ein Hardware Forum, wo ich mir Hilfe holen kann?

Hallo -psyc-, da erwähnt wurde, dass es sich um einen DELL handelt, kann ich Dir mitteilen, das so ein Effekt schon mal aufgetreten ist.

Es wurden bei uns einmal zwei DELL abgeliefert die nicht mehr korrekt im WLAN arbeiten wollten. Das soll beim Kunden im Urlaub passiert sein… wie sich nach längerem suchen heraus gestellt hat, sind bei beiden DELL diese Mikro-Stecker (Antennenanschluss an der internen WiFi-Karte) gelockert gewesen.

Vermutlich durch WÄRME und ERSCHÜTTERUNG im Auto… Urlaubsfahrt…

Neu gesteckt… klappte wieder…

Ja, wir waren auch sehr erstaunt…

Schau mal bitte bei ifixit.com, vielleicht ist für deinen Dell auch eine Reparaturanleitung vorhanden

Letztlich brauchst Du ja „nur“ den Weg wie der Rechner zu öffnen ist, wo die Stecker für die WLAN karte sind und wie die befestigt werden.

Alternativ auch mal bei YouTube suchen. Gibt häufig passende Videos, wo jemand schon das Gerät auseinander genommen hat.
