Hallo Freunde
hier zunächst die Kurzversion: Ubuntu 20.04.01 LTS
Update wurde heute angeboten, und in der GUI installiert.
Danach kein Wlan mehr. Mein Verdacht, der Wlantreiber wurde nicht korrekt installiert. Dafür spricht dass nach apt-get update und apt-get upgrade in der Konsole folgende Fehlermeldung kommt: 1

Das reicht euch vielleicht schon aus um den Fehler zu finden.
Da ich aber (zu) wenig mit der Konsole vertraut bin, und das meiste über die GUI mache, wirds für mich schwiegrig. Wie sichs gehört noch die andern Standardangaben: Achtung: ich hab zusätzlich noch eine alten Wlan-Stick eingestöpselt um überhaupt ins Internt zu kommen Ich glaube zwar dass ihr

Welche Updates installiert wurden, kann ich gar nicht sagen.
Ubuntu meldete halt über die GUI, dass updates verfügbar sind, und ich habe der Installation zugestimmt.
Hat sei Jahren ohne Probleme Funktioniert (war bestimmt auch ein wenig Glück dabei). Den Versuch bcmwl-kernel-source zu installieren macht Ubuntu auch über apt-get upgrade.
Manuell fällt leider die gleiche Fehlermeldung raus: 1

Als Anfänger kann ich mich natürlich irren, die Installation wird mMn nicht erfolgreich abgeschlossen, und deshalb kann die Netzwerkkarte nicht verwendet werden. Wie man das beheben kann, weiß ich aber nicht. Vielleicht ist das ein Fehler, der mit dem nächsten Update gefixt wird?
Ich hatte sowas schon mal mit meinem Mousepad, das ging dann nach dem nächsten Update wieder (ist jahre her).

Wenn ich das hier richtig verstehe, hat(te) hier jemand exakt das Gleiche Problem. Der Treiber scheint mit dem Kernel-Update kaputt zu sein. they forget to upgrade bcmwl-kernel-source in the repos.
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1305699/bcmwl-kernel-source-broken-on-kernel-5-8-0-34-generic Hier werden verschiedene Lösungsmöglichkeiten geboten.
Die Frage ist nun welche die beste ist. Am liebsten ist mir natprlich, wenn mein System wie bisher immer auf einem aktuellen sicheren Stand gehalten wird.

Du kannst doch bestimmt mit dem Vorgänger-Kernel starten, probiere das bitte mal aus.

Wlan hat dann leider nicht funktioniert.
Aber mir ist was anderes aufgefallen. In der GUI (Einstellungen Wlan) wird gemeldet "Kein Funknetzwerkadapter gefunden".
Stecke ich meinen Wlan-Dongle ein wird aber jedes Netzwerk doppelt angezeigt.
Gastzugang und Gastzugang1 / Fritbox und Fritzbox1 usw..
So als ob dann auf einmal beide Netzwerkkarten erkannt werden würden.
Wechseln kann ich aber nur auf die Netzwerke mit der 1.

deinstalliere den 5.8.0-34 Kernel, daher kommt wieder die Fehlermeldung
