Hallo erstmal alle zusammen ☺ Das wiki und Forum hat mir bisher schon sehr viel geholfen, aber jetzt hab ich doch mal ein kniffligeres problem 😉
Ausgangsstellung: Festplatte war mit 3 partitionen (/, swap und /boot) partioniert und vom setup (hetzner installationsroutine) bereits in ein software raid1 verwendelt worden (sda1 + sdb11 ⇒ md0, sda2+sdb2 ⇒ md1, sda3 + sdb3 ⇒ md2).
anschließend hab ich bei beiden festplatten eine erweiterte und darin 2 physische partitionen angelegt (mit fdisk). als typ wurde "Linux raid autodetect" gesetzt.
fdisk -l sieht so aus:

Anschließend hab ich ein software raid laut anleitung eingerichtet:
mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md3 --auto=yes --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sda5 /dev/sdb5 mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md4 --auto=yes --level=1 --raid-devices=2 /dev/sda6 /dev/sdb6
md3 + md4 ist unter /dev/md(3/4) verfügbar, lässt sich mounten und alles ist super.
wenn ich dann allerdings den server reboote sind sie wieder weg, mdadm liefert

retour und ich kenn mich nicht mehr aus ☹
Ideen? Was habe ich vergessen?
OS ist Ubuntu 8.04LTS 32bit mit 2gb ram und ner amd64 cpu.

edit: bekannter meint es fehlt
mdadm --detail --scan >> /etc/mdadm.conf
mal schaun ob es jetzt klappt.
edit2: die file heißt /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf aber sonst funktionierts
