Liebe Leute,
ich fahre Ubuntu studio, nur weil es das in der Auswahl oben nicht gibt…
Mein Problem ist folgendes: Seit kurzem kann mein Computer die beiden Bildschirme nicht mehr von einander trennen und ich kann sie nicht mehr gruppieren. Es hat schon mal hingehauen und bei anderen Benutzern auf dem gleichen Rechner mit dem gleichen System geht es auch noch, aber, naja. Ich habe einen Bildschirm über VGA und einen über DisplayPort angeschlossen. Wenn ich unter "Anzeige" versuche, die Bildschirme zu verschieben, geht das nicht. Der kleinere VGA-Bildschirm zeigt nur das linke obere Viertel des größeren DP-Monitors. Dabei hätte ich den VGA liebend gerne rechts neben dem DP-Hauptbildschirm platziert. Hier ein paar Ausgaben:

/etc/X11/xorg.conf ist bei mir nicht existent. Über Hilfe würde ich mich sehr freuen. liebe Grüße, der Hornlöffel

Ich mache noch einen Anlauf. Im Anhang findet Ihr ein Bildschirmfoto. Beide Bildschirme werden angezeigt, ich kann sie beide bloß nicht bewegen… herzliche Grüße, der Hornlöffel

Hallo! Ich kann zwar nur bedingt helfen, aber damit du nicht so alleine bist… evtl funktioniert xrandr --output DP-1 --left-of VGA-1 Ist das richtig, dass du VGA und DisplayPort nutzt? Kann der Zweitbildschirm nicht DVI/HDMI?

Ich habe das Problem gelöst - sort of - indem ich den VGA-Bildschirm software-seitig einmal deaktiviert und dann wieder aktiviert habe. Ich kann es nicht beschwören, aber meine, das auch schon einmal vorher gemacht zu haben - ohne Erfolg. Naja, jetzt geht es jedenfalls wieder.
