hab die empfohlene Version und Steam nach Anleitung installiert. Jetzt lädt es bis dahin, wo die Steam Plattform Dateien aktualisiert werden und friert dann ein.

Hab den OpenGl Textbereich gekürzt, da dort ungefähr 20 Mal dei Meldung stand.

EDIT: Habs auf meinem 32 - Bit Heimrechner versucht, dort läuft Steam ohne Probleme. Könnte es vielleicht am Treiber der Grafikkarte liegen? Hab im Laptop (dort wo Steam nciht läuft) eine Ati Mobility Raden HD 5xxx
EDIT2: Hab gerade das hier auf der HP des Treibers gefunden: 32-Bit packages must be installed for 64-Bit Linux drivers to install or work. Die multiarch Version von lib32 wars halt leider nich die hatte ich ja schon versucht...
