Hallo, es ist nicht lebenswichtig also: "ich muss nicht gleich sterben". Seit Jahren schnürt Bionic auf einem Rechner wie am Klappchen. Jetzt habe ich Focal auf eine andere Platte installiert und erst einmal geglaubt eine abgebrochene WLAN Verbindung hätte ihn zum stürzen gebracht, er stürzte ein paar mal nach WLAN Verbindungsabbruch. Jetzt, -zig Blindversuche klüger weiß ich dass die Abstürze immer ein paar Sekunden nach einem Suspend-mode kommen oder sporadisch. Das System reagiert auf nix mehr. Ein Versuch mit Mint 20.04 zeigt das selbe Bild, nur dass der Mauscursor (mit Cinnamon ) noch beweglich ist.
Der Bieber und Xubuntu 18.04 auf der "alten" Platte erfreuen sich bester Gesundheit. Auf einem weiteren, älteren Rechner ist es das selbe Bild. Hier ein paar Daten: Der Problembär - äh - Rechner: Foxconn H67M-S/H67M-V/H67M mit Ami-Bios A48F1PCI und 6 Gig geprüften Speicher. Der "Reserve-Rechner" : Fujitsu Esprimo P2550 auf 4 Gig RAM gepimpt mit Mainboard D2950-A1 und PhoenixBios 6.00 R1.05.2950.A1 Also : Xubuntu 18.04 mit Kernel 5.3 macht keine Probleme, 5.4 rennt wohl irgendwo an eine Wand.
