Ich nehme mal Hal in der Arch-Installation aus der rc.conf raus und schau was daraus wird. Könnte mir vorstellen, dass unter Ubuntu anderweitig etwas nicht stimmt und deswegen auch kein Hal hilft...

edit: Tatsächlich, funktioniert auch ohne Hal. Dann können es ja fast nur die unterschiedlichen Versionen der X-Pakete sein, oder?

Vielleicht hat es auch etwas mit Xinput zu tun, was du vorhins erwaehnt hast?

Ich kann mich nicht daran erinnern, dort etwas extra eingestellt zu haben. Nur die eine Einstellung in Cellwriter selbst, die aber unter Natty dazu führt, dass gar keine Eingaben mehr akzeptiert werden. Unter Arch funktioniert umgekehrt alles, auch wenn die Einstellung Option ist.

Ich versuche gleich mal die X-Pakete von testing nach extra downzugraden. Wenn das auch nicht hinhaut, weiß ich auch nicht weiter...

edit: Nachdem ich bei der Installation flugs die gesamte xorg-Gruppe installiert hatte, sind es ziemlich viele Pakete, die man alle explizit zum Downgrade vormerken muss... Könnte übrigens auch daran liegen, dass irgend ein Paket dabei ist, das das Problem richtet. Vielleicht graben wir in dieser Richtung weiter?

Ja, wir koennten ja auch noch ein bisschen warten, bis die Packete von testing nach extra gewandert sind, dann koennte ich sie installieren und sehen, ob es funktioniert oder nicht, dann musst du jetzt nicht so unnoetig an deinem System rumbasteln.

Du hast recht, meine Arch-Installation möchte ich eigentlich nach Möglichkeit intakt lassen. Ich denke, ich werde versuchen auf der Natty-Installation weitere X-Pakete zu installieren. Natty ist im Prinzip eh nur ein Testsystem zum Schreiben eines Tablet-Artikels im Wiki, kann also ruhig den Bach runtergehen. Werd mir das morgen vornehmen, jetzt erstmal schlafen.

Bei "stylus" und "eraser" stimmen die Auflösungen alle überein, nur bei "touch" produziert Natty so einen Mist... Hast du bei dir unter Arch auch solche vermurkste Auflösungen?

edit2: Abgesehen von der Auflösung: Immer wenn CellWriter beginnt keine Eingaben mehr zu akzeptieren, kommen in der Xorg.0.log solche Zeilen dazu:

Auch bei normaler Benutzung kommen sie manchmal, aber CellWriter scheint ein Problem mit ihnen zu haben, während andere Programme wie Xournal munter weitermachen. Die Meldungen scheinen mir auf einen Bug in xf86-input-wacom hinzuweisen. Siehe auch: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1698645&page=2 (Post 16 und folgende). Der Bug scheint behoben worden zu sein aber nun hat er uns wieder erwischt. Wäre wohl was für den Bugtracker. Habe versucht, die Git-Version von input-wacom zum Laufen zu bringen, bin aber gescheitert. Weiß aber auch gar nicht, ob es in der Git-Version besser aussieht...

An der "touch"-Zeile kann es bei mir jedenfalls nicht liegen, da mein Thinkpad ein reines Wacom-Tablet ohne Touchscreen hat, ich vermute du hast ein X60t oder neuer.

Nee, das X60t hatte auch "Multitouch"-Modelle, also welche mit Stift- und Fingersteuerung. Dann dürfte es daran also nicht liegen. Was ist denn, wenn du CellWriter mit der Option "--log-level=7" startest, dann in den CellWriter-Einstellungen einen Haken bei "Enable extended input events" reinmachst und zu schreiben versuchst? Gibt es dann irgendwann eine Meldung

in der Ausgabe? Und wenn ja, gibt es dann zeitgleich die Meldung

(WW) Serial Wacom Tablet stylus: bad data at 1 v=91 l=9

oder eine ähnliche in der Xorg.0.log?

edit: Ich habe übrigens rausgefunden, wozu Hal und die .fdi-Datei, die ich vorhin verlinkt habe, gut war: Damit ist die automatische Bildschirm-Rotation beim Umklappen des Displays möglich.

edit2: @Xinput: Gar nicht, weiß gar nicht, wie man das Ding konfiguriert und ob das zu irgendwas gut ist. ☺

Gut, es lag bloss daran, dass ich kein Haekchen bei "Enable extended inputs events".
Tja, manchmal sieht man den Wald vor lauter Baeumen nicht.

edit: march: Ich habe die Lösung in "Problembehebung" geschrieben, das Problem auf meinem System scheint mit CellWriter selbst nichts zu tun zu haben. Kann also verschoben werden.

Leider find ich grad das Howto nicht mehr, war fuer Ubuntu 9.04 geschrieben, funktioniert aber fuer Arch tadellos.
Du musst eigentlich bloss ein paar Dateien in /etc einfuegen:

Beide muessen ausfuehrbar gemacht werden. Das wichtigste ist eicgentlich /usr/local/bin/rotatetablet, da das ein Skript fuer die Bildschirm ist.
