Hallo, Touchpad meines Acer 5920 funktioniert nach update nicht mehr. Wiki zu 5920G bezieht sich nicht auf HAL. Hier die Ausgabe der Xorg.=.log

War in der xorg.conf auskommentiert, da HAL das übernommen hatte. Hal is nu 1004) nich mehr, Daher Auskommentierung entfernen und schon klappts wieder.

Hallo, ich habe das gleiche Problem, Touchpad funktioniert nach Upgrade nicht. Habe auch einen Acer (Travelmate 4280). Leider verstehe ich nicht, was ich ich machen muss um das Problem zu beheben. Vielleicht könnte jemand mir es ja erklären? vielen Dank und Grüße Mil

Hallo, bei mir war es so, daß in der xorg.conf die entsprechenden Deviceeinträge von einem frühreren Update auskommentiert wurden. Ist nicht weiter aufgefallen, da diese Funktion von der HAL übernommen wurde. Mit dem akuellen Update fällt HAL aber weitgehend weg. Jetzt musste ich einfach die Auskommentierung (#) für Synaptik entfernen. Dazu die xorg.conf in einem Editor öffnen ( sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf) Dann den Synaptic Eintrag suchen und bei diesem Block die # Markierung entfernen.

Dann kopier mal meinen Synaptics (input Device) Eintrag. und füg den zwischen dem glx Eintrag (nach endsection) und dem nvidia (vor section device) ein.

Dann schau mal ob du unter System/Einstellungen einen Touchpad Eintrag hast. Dort kann das Touchpad aktiviert und deaktiviert werden. Wenn da kein Touchpad Eintrag ist musst du über die Packetverwaltung gsynaptict nachinstallieren.

Unter System/Einstellungen/Maus kann ich Taoucpad-Einstellungen vornehmen, diese sind auch aktiviert. Das sollte also nicht das Problem sein. Vor dem Upgrade lief das Touchpad auch problemlos. Könnte es sinnvoll sein trotzdem gsynaptict zu installieren? Danke!

Hallo. Ich habe ein MSI Megabook und auch hier läuft das Touchpad nach dem Update nicht mehr. Die obigen Hinweise funktionieren beide nicht. Komisch ist auch, dass es beim Anmeldebildschirm noch geht. Hier meine xorg.conf:

Hallo

Bei mir geht auch das Touchpad seit dem upgrade nicht mehr. Ich hab dann gsynaptics installiert. Wenn ich dann aber den Touchpad-Eintrag in Einstellungen öffne kommt:

GSynaptics couldn't initialize.
You have to set 'SHMConfig' 'true' in xorg.conf or XF86Config to use GSynaptics

Dann hab ich den entsprechenden Block in die xorg.conf kopiert:

Section "Device"
	Identifier	"Configured Video Device"
#	Driver          "vesa"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
	Identifier	"Configured Monitor"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
	Identifier	"Default Screen"
	Monitor		"Configured Monitor"
	Device		"Configured Video Device"

	Identifier     "Touch"
	Driver         "synaptics"

	Option         "Device" "/dev/input/vtouch"

das hat aber nichts geändert.
