Ich habe mal spaßeshalber den Emulator unter Slackware 14 kompiliert und die C64-ROMs in ein verstecktes Verzeichnis ~/.vice/C64 kopiert. Der Emulator startet dann auch einwandfrei.

Ja, Ich habe das wieder deinstalliert. Und bei dem Aufruf x64 kommt die identische Ausgabe?? Grüße rrr

Ich denke mal der Knackpunkt liegt an folgender Zeile der Bildschirmausgabe:

C64MEM: Error - Couldn't load kernal ROM `kernal'.

Es sind insgesamt vier Dateien, die man separat herunter laden kann. Diese Dateien sind Copyright-technisch geschützt. Würde mich wundern, wenn sie trotzdem ihren Weg in ein Ubuntu-Paket gefunden hätten.

Danke für die Info Mankind75, aber ich habe die Roms. Zuerst hatte ich das Ubuntu paket instaliert und die fehlenden Roms hinzugefügt, das lief auch nicht. Die Version 2.4 habe ich kompiliert, da waren die Roms vorhanden.

Was ich seldsam finde ist das nachdem ich die Pakete deinstalliert habe auf die eingabe x64 die identische Ausgabe kommt. ??

Wenn Du mit "sudo make install" das Paket installiert hast, geht das AFAIK an der Paketverwaltung vorbei.

Ich habe das Paket mittels sudo make uninstall, wieder deinstaliert.

*edit Habe noch sudo make distclean ausgeführt, jetzt ist alles OK.

Die Roms sind vorhanden. Der Netzstecker ist auch gesteckt.

Auch die vorehensweise wie im WIKI Artikel VICE dargestellt scheitert.

Wie gesagt, mir hat es geholfen, die ROMs in ~/.vice/C64 zu kopieren.

Das Verzeichnis kannst Du auf der Konsole wie folgt erzeugen:

mkdir -p ~/.vice/C64

Ich habe die folgende Datei: vice-2.4.tar.gz Kompilert.

1. Entpackt. 2. den Ordner im Terminal geöffnet. 3. ./configure ( die Option --enable-gnomeui wie im Wiki beschriebem ist unbekannt) -keine Fehlermeldung. 4. make install.

Die Roms von Frodo, wie im Wiki Artikel beschrieben habe ich auch schon benutzt, mit dem selben Ergebnis. Die Roms von WinVICE-2.4-x86 habe ich auch ausprobiert.

Kopiert habe ich sie folgendermaßen: Mit ALT F" den Anwendungsfinder geöffnet. Mittels gksudo thunar gksudo thunar /usr/local/lib64/vice/C64/ den VICE Ordner mit Admin-Rechten geöffnet, und die Roms mittels Strg v hineinkopiert...

Es wird ein anderes Problem. jenseits des Rom Problem vorliegen. Könnte es sein das nach dem Austausch der Roms noch etwas zu erledigen ist?

Ich erinnere mich daran, dass ich unter "Slackware 14" einen Symlink setzen musste:

ln -s /usr/local/lib64/vice/ /usr/lib/vice 

Ich füge auch mal mein Konsolenoutput hinzu:

Ich hatte keine Zeit mehr weil ich von der kalten Hand der Realität gegriffen würde, die mich aus der Welt der bunten piepsenden Pixeln heraus riss.
