Die Überschrift sagt eigentlich schon alles. Nachdem ich öfters gelesen habe, dass Thinkpads gut von Ubuntu unterstützt werden, kommt es mir langsam vor, als hätte ich einen fatalen Fehlkauf getätigt.
Dass weder bei 7.04 noch bei 7.10 nach der Installation kein XServer startet, daran habe ich mich schon langsam gewöhnt. Ich möchte jedoch sowohl das Hardwarerendering und auch den TV-Out nutzen. Das es in der 7.04 einen nicht behobenen Kernel-BUG gab, habe ich schon heraus gefunden.
Hat es denn schon jemand irgendwie geschafft, direct rendering und den TV-Out zum laufen zu bekommen, oder besteht der Bug immer noch (dann werd ich mir wohl ein anderes Notebook kaufen müssen, da ich nicht darauf hoffen will, dass der Treiber bei der 8.04 vielleicht mal wieder richtig funzt)

Teilweise ist sie schon manuell ergänzt, da selbst dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg die Horizontalfrequenzen nicht richtig erkannt hat und einige andere Sachen auch einfach nicht in die Datei geschrieben hat.
