Im Anmeldebildschirm müsste es bei der Sitzungsauswahl eine "Abgesicherte Gnome-Sitzung" geben: http://openbook.galileocomputing.de/ubuntu/bilder/gdm.gif (rechts neben der Sprachauswahl).

Nein das schaut bei mir überhaupt nicht so aus. Ich hab nur rechts unten: Neustart, Abschalten, die Zeit und Barrierefreiheit Einstellungen...? interessant..??

Mhh, das ist komisch... Hast du sicher Lucid am Laufen? Vielleicht einfach ein anderes GDM-Theme? Irgendwo müsste eigentlich bei jedem Theme so eine Option sein...

Endlosschleife beim Anmelden¶

Es kommt vor, dass sich Benutzer beim Anmelden in einer Endlosschleife wiederfinden. Nach der Eingabe des Passwortes und dessen Bestätigung verschwindet der GDM-Anmeldebildschirm, und der Bildschirm wird schwarz. Kurz darauf lädt der GDM-Loginscreen erneut. Das ist beliebig oft wiederholbar. Auch das Neuinstallieren von gdm und gnome-desktop, Löschen aller Config-Dateien, Erstellen neuer Benutzer etc. nützt nichts. Die Anmeldung auf der Konsole funktioniert aber wie gehabt.

Die einfache Lösung: durch zu wenig freien Speicherplatz im System ist es nicht mehr möglich, einen temp-Ordner zu erstellen und zu beschreiben. Durch Freigeben von Speicherplatz (beispielsweise Löschen einiger Dateien, Dateisystemvergrößerung oder Auslagerung von Dateien) wird das Problem behoben. Danach ist eine grafische Anmeldung wieder möglich.

Die Dateien für die verschiedenen Sitzungen werden im Verzeichnis /usr/share/xsessions/ als .desktop abgelegt und können mit einem Editor [1] bearbeitet werden. Die Syntax ist immer gleich:

Hi, df sagt 2% belegt und alles ok ☺ Danke für den Post, hat mir aber nix gebracht, ich habe gehofft dort die gdm einst. für den abgesicherten Graphik modus zu finden.

Tja: da hamma'n ja https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/537721

Ich kann mich erinnern das der synptic die letzten updates nicht richtig eingelesen hatte. da war der xserver-xorg-core (2:1.7.6-2ubuntu7.3), Xorg X server - core server dabei

Hab eine alte 10 GB Festplatte gefunden wo ich auch 10.04 drauf hatte. Da hat der Nouveau einwandfrei funktioniert.. (Jetzt hab ich die 10.04.1)

lustigerweise war der AIGLX error da auch schon drinn, hatte aber keine Auswirkungen. (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/dri/nouveau_vieux_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/dri/nouveau_vieux_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

Ich werd mich noch ein bisserl spielen, aber bald bin ich mit ner Neuinstallation besser dran. Obwohl das ne Niederlage wäre 🙄 Immerhin hab ich bis jetzt einiges dazugelernt ☺

Hmm, hast du nochmal ein vollständiges Xorg.0.log vom neuen System, wo es mit nouveau startet? Müssten ja dann nach einem anderen Fehler suchen, wenn der eine nicht für den Absturz verantwortlich ist...

Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere war bei Lucid die Unterstützung des Nouveau Treibers noch unvollständig, einige Bestandteile die für die vernünftige 3D Unterstützung von Nöten sind fehlen in dem Treiber Paket. Kann aber auch sein, dass das in der vorhergehenden Version so war...

Hi, Im Anhang Xorg.0.log vom defekten (aktuellen) 10.04.1 Lucid Werd mal ein xxdiff mitn alten funtionierenden Xorg der 10 GB Platte probieren..

Hab noch versucht zwischen VESA, NV, und nouveau zu experimentieren.Es hat irgendwas mit der xInit.. Das Xorg.failsafe wird glaub ich vom Versuch der Dialogbox: "Standardeinstellungen laden.." generiert?

Hab nochmal den nvidia Treiber probiert. Der bricht schon sehr früh ab, weil entweder:
irgendwelche pre-install scripts nicht gehen.
Oder der Xserver läuft.
Beim Grub-Kernel-Wiederherstellungsmodus hab ich die root konsole gewählt, weil ich hoffte das der xserver da nicht läufen würde. Da hat nVidia abgebrochen mit: "Sie sind in runlevel 1, ...scheint andere Umgebung zu sein... Hier eher nicht installieren... benötigt würde runlevel 3 "

Bez. kollidierendem nouveau mit nVidia: sudo rmmod nouveau geht in keinem Fall, da sagt er immer: modul in use..

zB: X -configure bricht er auch ab mit:

using config file: /home/user/xorg.conf.new
using config directory: /usr/lib/x11/xorg.conf.d

Kann das sein das Lucid manchmal ins /usr/lib/x11/xorg.conf.d schaut und manchmal in /etc/X11/xorg.conf ? Denn wenn ich nv, vesa, nouveau in /etc/X11/xorg.conf ändere dann checkt er das und gibt andere Fehlermeldungen aus..

hmmm... Wenn ich an den abgebrochenen Synaptic denke, ich glaub ich hab die Pakete auf 3 mal installiert, event auch nicht in der vorgegebenen Reihenfolge. (Das war weil Internet Verbindung abgebrochen ist..), denk ich kann es u-u- auch woanders liegen?

Also: Ich habe inzwischen alles gelöscht und neu aufgesetzt. Zuerst die 10.04 CD installiert, da war alles ok. Es ist auch beim Anmelde Schirm die abgesicherte GNOME Grafik Sitzung unten bei der Auswahl vorhanden. Hab die var/log/Xorg.0.log gesichert. Und siehe da!!! Es war der EE AIGLX error schon vorhanden, hatte aber keine Auswirkungen! Es wurde der Nouveou Treiber verwendet und es existierte keine Xorg.conf ! Diesmal hab ich das Passwort beim Anmelden nicht ausgeschalten... um etwaige Probleme zu vermeiden..

Dann hab ich alle Updates eingespielt ca. 300MB. Alles war ok, hab gleich wieder var/log/Xorg.0.log gesichert. Auch da war der EE AIGLX error vorhanden, ohne Auswirkungen.. Am nächsten Tag war dann wieder das Problem, das ich mich nicht Anmelden konnte, und der Anmeldeschirm immer wieder in einer Schleife geladen wurde. Und beim Anmelde Schirm die abgesicherte GNOME Grafik Sitzung unten nun nicht vorhanden, weil keine Auswahl mehr da ist..

Tja, jetzt muss ich mich wieder in den PC hacken um an die Files zu kommen..
Ich weiß jetzt echt nicht mehr weiter. Eventuell könnte ich fast einen neuen Thread starten: Automatische Updates killen 10.04 Anmelde Sitzung und eventuell den Video Treiber. ??? oder? was meint Ihr? Weil ich glaub das der EE-AIGLX error damit primär gar nichts zu tun hat?

Ich sag nur mehr SMU anstelle SOS 😢 ☹

Ich denke mittlerweile, dass es überhaupt nicht am Treiber liegt. Läge es am Treiber, dann würde X schon abstürzen, bevor du eine Chance hast, das Passwort einzugeben... Ich glaub, das Stichwort ist hier "Loginschleife". ☺ Was ist wenn du Folgendes probierst: Wenn du bei der Passwortabfrage landest, wechsle in die Konsole, melde dich dort an und kille den X-Server (Prozess dürfte X, X11 oder Xorg heißen). Dann starte ihn wieder mit "startx". Jetzt müsstest du ohne GDM in die grafische Oberfläche kommen. sudo killall Xorg

wegen mangelnder Internet Verbindung( HSDPA-usb-stick) folgende Pakete per Hand installiert:

libwraster3_0.92.0-7ubuntu10_i386.deb
xutils_7.5+5ubuntu1_all.deb
wdm_1.28-3.2_i386.deb

habe vorher noch 2 zusätzliche testuser angelegt.. mit sudo adduser

wdm ließ sich starten, weiße Debian-Maske, bei Passwort sagte er validating...und dann hängt er genauso wie der gdm und tut nix mehr weiter.., allerdings nun mit weißem Schirm anstelle schwarz wie vorher bei gdm..

Im Anhang die neuen Log files:
Xorg.0.log_Lucid_10.04_neuinst._ohne_updates ... nach der CD installation.. alles ok
Xorg.0.log_mit_allen_10.04.1LTS_updates ... nach allen 300 MB updates + neustart + neuen kernel.. immer noch alles ok
Xorg.0.log_defekt ...1-2 Tage später ... same as the initial post... ☹

xxdiff Xorg.0.log_Lucid_10.04_neuinst._ohne_updates versus Xorg.0.log_mit_allen_10.04.1LTS_updates sagt:
open ACPI successfull ... das hatte nach der CD inst einen Fehler der aber offenbar wurscht war..
drmopendevice open result = 8 ... anstelle vorher 7 ...naja??
einige andere Modelines bez Auflösung ...eher egal..
XKB: reuse xkmfile /var/lib/xkb/server-und_ellens_lange_nummer.. da war vorher generating! anstelle reuse..
und die letzten hsync und vsync refresh rates waren bei der neuen nimma dabei..

xxdiff Xorg.0.log_defekt versus Xorg.0.log_mit_allen_10.04.1LTS_updates sagt:

und es fehlen etliche Video Modes bez. Auflösungen usw..
