Hallo users,
von meinem alten Computer habe ich noch 300 GB DejaDup backup Dateien die ich gerne etwas ausschlacken würde.
Die Daten wurden bereits auf einen neuen Rechner migriert und daher möchte ich das Backup des alten Rechners auf das nötigste reduzieren, d.h. nur 2 oder 3 full backups aufbewahren.

Nachdem ich die manpage durchforstet habe sind leider immer noch offene Fragen übrig.
Frage 1: Was ist der Unterschied zwischen primary und secondary backup chain?
Frage 2: Ist folgendes Verständniss korrekt. Alle Incremental backups von der Chain ending *Thu Dec 1 10:43:32 2011* sind im ersten full backup der nächsten Chain (starting *Thu Dec 8 01:10:44 2011*) enthalten? Das würde bedeuten, ich kann ohne Bedenken die Incremental Sicherungen von den beiden secondary Chains löschen da ich für beide ein darauf folgendes full backup habe. Für die Widerherstellung vom aller letzten Stand benötige ich jedoch sowohl full als auch alle incremental backups der primary Chain.... korekt?
